I'm really interested in seeing who they make Cole out to be. Like others have said about Loghain, The game shows him a certain way but those who have read the books might see him in a different light when they play the game. I will be super excited about Cullen, Cassandra, and Varric's reactions to Cole. I can't wait!

Only every now and then do I -not- want to know what's going to happen in shows or games. It doesn't make me like it any less and I still feel engaged while watching/playing it. If anything, it saves me time because If what I read is really bad, I won't waste my time. That's why I can't wait for spoilers on DAI to come out. I need as much information as possible to make the perfect playthroughs. I'm weird, I know

You know, although it's kind of obvious that Cullen is supposed to hate Cole, I really hope that BioWare will do something unexpected with these two. Maybe Cullen will actually believe Cole, like Evangeline did, and they will become friends? How cool that would be!

If Varric doesn't make at least one imaginary friend joke about the Inquisitor and Cole I'll be disappointed...Although I do wonder whether he'll be visible to others as well,it would be super cool if only the inquisitor could see him at first.

I wasn't talking about how he looks I was more referring to his culture in witch he grew up in, I know im not the most likeable person in this thread and everyone hates/ most ppl ignore my posts  but I was just expressing my opinion.

That to me it seemed odd that a ex Qunari would behave in such a way considering that he has grown up in a certain kind of culture  even if he "escaped" from it, he would still have some sort of "strict" rules to him

 

I was thinking that maybe Iron Bull was born or at least raised outside of Qun since it seems like our qunari Quizzy will be as well This would explain why he's so different from regular qunaris. Or then he's just abnormality ^^;

 

Yeah if I could go to cons and possibly even cosplay I totally would give it a try. I just don't have the money, transportation or resources available to do so. That and I'd have no idea what to expect or do and likely stand off in a corner and creepishly stare at people.

 

Plus 10/10 chance I'd get told off for liking "mainstream" manga/anime at an Anime Con anyways.

 

Aws, cons are lot of fun. They are pretty expensive which is why I always had to save money for them ^^; Usually cosplaying and liking mainstream anime is actually good, if you cosplay Naruto you find 5 other Narutos and can become buddies.. if you are social enough to talk with strangers. I'm not XD However if you aren't cosplaying from mainstream anime there is change none will recognize you and that's sad. You get lot more pictures taken and intresting conversations with mainstream cosplay ^^; Liking mainstream anime is also best when you try to look intresting panels to go to, they are often about those and merchandise to buy. I don't think anyone would judge you.

 

Any pictures of Cullen as he will appear in DAI other than the "last supper table" picture? I find he looks odd in that picture (sloping forhead and receding chin) and I am hoping his actual look will be better.

Well reading about Loghain just made me dislike him further In other hand I was able to see Duncan in other light and let go my hatred towards him for forcing my wardens to be wardens.

Michel is a sexy beast lol I like how he's never really described in the book so you can just have you own sexy vision of him. I see him as having short blond hair and some stubble. YUM. His only issue, morally speaking, is he's a bit of an automaton. Celene says, "KILL!" and the boy kills.

There has been no DA episode, but Jessica, Holly, and I think Chloe were on Wil Wheaton's show, and they were cosplaying as Morrigan, Inquisitor, and Sera, respectively.

Cullen will probably think Cole is just some cool assassin you picked somewhere to assassinate people for you Until maybe something happens that will change things, like Big Bad comes and tells us who Cole really is, trolololo. And then Cullen's reaction will depend on what Cole really is. And how much he knows, and how much he likes (if he likes) Cole already.

Evangeline, for example, felt 2 things for Cole: first one was pity, because in the Fade she felt how much he'd suffered; the other one was guilt and shame for her order, which failed to protect Cole. The latter can totally work on Cullen too. Although Evangeline seemed like more empathetic person than Cullen. Cullen may not be so easily moved, especially after the Broken Circle, so I agree with you on that.

Still, it would be nice to see their relationship taking an unexpected turn. I want the game to surprise me

Back to Cullen: do you think that in the end Cullen will try to manipulate you into murdering someone, threatening to dump you if you refuse? Because it's been a good tradition for chantry boys I really hope he won't, I like to think he's different, and won't use our feelings as a leverage.

 

I really doubt it. It just doesn't seem in character for him. Cullen has his share of faults, but I see no indication whatsoever that manipulation or deception are among them. Any mistakes Cullen makes, I think he's going to make in a straightforward and truthful way.

I feel I know too much about Cole at this point. It's going to be hard to keep that out of my gameplay, because if my Inquisitor knew everything about him that I do she would NOPE right on out of there!

 

 
I don't *think* Cole is a demon, and if the book says otherwise, please spoiler tag. Some of us haven't finished the book yet (me) and if you are just speculating please clarify. If he *is* a demon and it says so in the book, this is gonna need a spoiler tag too lol

 

It would be a good idea to read all the way to the very end before making up your mind about Cole.

Regarding the Orlais issue, I didn't find any of the characters in TME particularly likable, and I didn't find myself very sympathetic to any potential side.

 

I think my Inquisitor will be hard-pressed to see why she should even take a side on the aspects that appear to be mainly internal Orlesian issues, and if taking a side is necessary she'd be inclined to just do whatever Cullen recommends (in his military adviser capacity, not his potential lover capacity) because she doesn't have a clear idea what would be best.

If it helps, to me, Cole is not evil at all. I'm also unconvinced he's a spirit or demon.

It's just in case I find I absolutely hate a character, but get in game and find they are presented in a totally different light, but not be able to get past my first impression. From what I've heard, many ME characters were presented in very different lights in the different media than in the games, and I think there's a chance this may also happen in Inquisition. So basically, at this point, I think my first Inquisitor will want to support Celene, but if I read the book and loathe her, I would change my character with metaknowledge and stuff and I don't want that at all.

I've done it in the Walking Dead game, I'll avoid spoilers, but there was a character that I already knew and loved really and it affected how my Clementine interacted with them. And even though, she shouldn't trust them, I do so she did and will continue will, and I am determined to keep them alive at all costs because of something I know, but shouldn't.

Oh god, it's not Kenny is it? I can tell he's lost the plot but I've had Clem put her trust in him because... well, it's Kenny! Plus, he's the only link we have left to Lee.

Do the Dalish do something truly heinous after this? So far I haven't seen anything bad from them at all.

Also, I've had a moderate crush on Teagan for years   I'm sure my Inquisitor will fall for him too, she's such a hick. You kiss her hand, and she'll assume it's true love

If I had known he'd get married in the epilogue, I wouldnt have been quite so generous to that girl in Redcliffe. My warden was a bit calculating, so I headcanoned that she enlisted Teagans 'help' to ensure the country definitely ended up running the way she wanted it to.
