BTW, I think his face looks totally the same, and even his facial hair. Except the chin and the nose. They looks better now, more detailed and realistic. I like

I still don't think I'd have immediately recognized him as Cullen if I saw him in-game with no spoilers, but I've been sitting here eating breakfast and tracing lines of proportion over this and DA2 screenshots and they're all the same (even though it looks for all the world to me like his eyes are lower in his head / his nose is less long), and clearly his cheekbones and jawline are the same. Bah, maybe I'm more hair-focused than I thought. Regardless, he's looking handsome, and his nose is much less Vega-ish from this angle.

 

EDIT: And I like that he looks the right age, which wasn't clear from the video.

Ok here's the best picture I could get of him, but it REALLY doesn't do him justice at all (he looks MUCH MUCH better in the proper picture). You can kinda see from this one that his jaw is chiseled, but again, trying to capture a good shot of him via my phone is near impossible. 

 

He looks handsome  ! And he seems like the Cullen we know (except for the hair)! Love the little scar!! It made my day, thanks again Lola!

It was the jawline I was worried about.  Everything else, especially his build and height, have been swoon-worthy all along. Now that I know that he's pretty much still basically our beautiful Cullen face-wise, I can get back to focusing on all the other things, like simply anticipating E3.  In addition to finding out more about the other characters and seeing more actual game play, I want to see Cullen move and most of all, hear him speak (please).  Hopefully they'll give us a little of that next week.  *fingers crossed*

E3 is only a week away. We don't have long to wait at all!

Keep in mind that the picture doesn't do him anywhere near as much justice as the framed pic, and even that has terrible lighting.

I think his eyes are bigger now. When I was drawing him before, my husband always complained that Cullen's eyes look kind of small for his head, but now they look ok.

And I love all the wrinkles! Man's been through a lot.

 

You know, his armor reminds me of that ceremonial armor from DAO, not the model, but the description of it. It's decorated with mabaries Funny that you loot it from Haven dragon cultists

*ahem* he looks really good. Now that he's looking straight on I can see his features better. I wasn't sure what to make of his face in the line up because of the angle but now I can say they've done a great job with his new design.

Cameron stated that cassandra takes advantage of a loophole (in the Chantry's law probably) to recreate the Inquisition to face the threat of the Breach, because she knows that the Chantry higher-ups would focus on electing a new divine after the leaders of the Chantry and the mages died in the initial Breach at the temple of the sacred Ashes. Since Leliana is a leader of the reformed Inquisition and she was loyal to the divine/Chantry, Cullen would likely be in the same situation, since he is the general of the Inquisition army. He was likely loyal to the Chantry and didn't follow Lambert's revolt. The reason why he joins the Inquisition is that probably our starting army will be mostly formed by the remaining Chantry forces.

I'm sure there will be a large line of fangirls that would be willing to divest him of his armor if it gets too uncomfortable. No one wants a sad Cullen in the war room after all - though the frowny face may still remain if he is discussing tactics in his smalls

 

So I'm now sketching a picture of a very confused Inquisitor Melaina wondering when her keep became invaded by a large group of humans attempting to undress her war adviser. You will also note that she is not attempting to stop them

 

Clearly a VERY early Work In Progress
