Sorry, this is not the exact angle, but it's the closest I had.

As you can see, his face didn't change much. They made the new face a bit wider (I approve), I think the pointy nose is back, and the eyes are a bigger too.

Edit: he looks like a real person. I wonder if there is a living prototype.

My question to those who read TME:

There is so much hate for the Dalish among those who read the novel. My question is this: I am at the part where Celene and Michel carve through those poor Dalish elves (haha I'm a little biased ) and escape the camp, after which a rather stupid Michel (I love you, bro, but seriously?) releases the demon.

Do the Dalish do something truly heinous after this? So far I haven't seen anything bad from them at all.

My issue was that they treated Briala like ****, and they were dumb enough to try and summon a f*cking Forbidden One to try and reactivate the eluvians. And then it gets unleashed because of the elves stupidity.

Ok here's the best picture I could get of him, but it REALLY doesn't do him justice at all (he looks MUCH MUCH better in the proper picture). You can kinda see from this one that his jaw is chiseled, but again, trying to capture a good shot of him via my phone is near impossible.

Gah. I really hope not. Since I missed the 1K page deadline, I was trying for 2K instead. The mod is done and playable now, but after watching the video Lola and LittleNikki did for the 4K celebration, I feel massively self-conscious about the crap cutscenes, so I wanted to redo them before releasing the mod.

 

 

It didn't help that I worked on my Galyan mod over the weekend instead, but c'mon. After three weeks of compulsive work on a project that was never going to be more than light content (and a bit of a joke, really), I needed to get back to my passion for a while.

Trust me, it's just the picture quality. For some reason it made his lips and eyes come out weird. He's WAY WAY WAAAAAAAAY hotter than that in the real picture, and even then the lighting in the war room is pretty bad, so that's still not doing him full justice.

The scar does seem to go up towards his eye. Also, the rivets, or whatever they are, seem to be in the shape of the Sword of Mercy, or at least the tip. It's like it was there once, but has since been removed. This is so awesome, Lola!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Okay, from me.  Since I read the book and I'm not a particular fan of the Dalish (and especially not those in TME!):

Those Dalish are the ones who summoned that demon, trapped it there.  All to piddle around with some notion of regaining their own lost ancestry, rather
than focusing on the future and the real issues and people that need their support right now.  Michel, who was threatened and beaten by the Dalish,
only unraveled their own trap enough the demon was let loose, a thing he's determined to redress rather than shruggingly go about his way without a single
care for the foolish damage he's done.  To me, though, the Dalish brought their own destruction on themselves.

 

What's the saying ... "Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are tasty covered in ketchup."

 

Ahh, okay, interesting to get different perspectives! All right, well that's nothing I didn't know. I'm still a huge fan of the Dalish

I was horrified when Michel carved through them like that to escape. The book really is so, so brutal, hell, more brutal than GOT. So far the Dalish haven't actually killed anyone, then they pretty much get annihilated. That was horrifying. It really boils my blood how consistently all the humans in the novel are so incredibly racist towards elves. It makes me think of what's going on in Europe (and a little bit Australia) right now. And of course my own country has its own lovely history with racism. The Dalish kind of turned away from all that and just want to be left alone. I find it really sad how they idolize the past because it's clearly a losing battle. I really cannot wait to play a Dalish inquisitor, now more than ever, and hope we get to meet with some of these clans.
