I don't think we should engage the playersexuality debate here
It gets too heated. There are other threads for that.

I liked the way it was in Origins. You had options but they were clearly distinct from each other. There were strictly hetero options, a bisexual option, and a lesbian option. When they changed it, in DA2, I wasn't offended and I played as I was inclined to play without any worry or problem.
But it simply never made sense to me, either. Everyone can go either way, really? It made the characters feel far more doll-like and superficial, like something false or strange up against my understanding of real social interaction between people. Even though I didn't necessarily drop my toe in those waters or bother after those that did, mind you. It's only that not everyone I meet is going to be inclined either way -- you are or you're not or you're somewhere in between, and it's okay to me no matter which way you swing. But figure the person out, else you're left feeling they're more illusory, rather than a true character with some defined personality.
And I think that's what Bioware is trying to create, is all. Doesn't mean you can't admire the turn of someone's tail, either. I always thought Morrigan was a real attractive character, even if I couldn't wrap my head around some romance of her. But the fact she simply wouldn't look twice at my Warden like that didn't bother me in the slightest. I respected the character's personality in that regard.
I am so not gonna step into this argument, but four people out of an entire game full of characters is not everyone. Just sayin'.

Important question, I need your help:
How do you think Cullen would call somebody's gluteus maximus? Or his own?
"posterior"

I think its a lil funny when they try to use a word such as "realistic" in a game that is not realistic at all considering the setting of it, its a fantasy game nothing in it is realistic

I would kind of like for him to pull an Alistair and say hind quarters. ![]()

Probably something very vanilla. "Behind" comes to mind. And he might be a bit flustered even by that

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who immediately thought of that.

David Gaider said this:
"Personally, I’d rather the conversation didn’t start with a discussion of what is “realistic”. That’s not a bar the DA team uses to judge any of our content—not in a fantasy game."

The world still has it's own realism even if it is a fantasy game.

Agreed with Shyviolet (posterior) or maybe derrière if he's feeling Orlesian.

That's great. Take it up with the game's creators. As far as I am concerned, they trump fan pronouncements. If they say the sky in Thedas is rainbow, then they are right. Period.

To be honest, I'm not that interested in mounts for now. I'm waiting to see what will happen to our party, because in the case they disappear I'll travel on foot for 99% of the time.
I guess that in the E3 demo we might see how mounts work.

I don't mind the bog unicorn concept, but I hope it'll look better in-game. Though better might mean more gruesome

not being an actual unicorn aside, it's cool. But it there was about a week or so when my hopes were pretty up there for an actual unicorn, that is just commonly found in bogs.

I only want a horse. Just a regular-looking -- brown, even! -- horse. That's it.
I think I'm burnt out on "exotic" mounts from the various MMO's I play.

Yeah, if they disappear, I'll either endure any long walks in the desert or try and solo it, depending on how and where we can select our party. It'll drive me more crazy for them to disappear than it would to just have them appear.

Yeah, I think this was discussed, and Cam got a lot of flak elsewhere on the forum for seemingly suggesting that bisexual characters aren't "realistic." I don't think the flak was deserved, but he does seem confused about what he's trying to say. I'm still not sure what he was trying to say. Plus he isn't even right... "We are ... going ... out there with some characters just being one sexual orientation. And that previously wasn't the case." Alistair, Morrigan, Sebastian, anyone?
I hate the whole "The real world reflects that so we're going to make a game that reflects that as well." They are keen to deny us choice for the sake of realism. Where else do they do this in the game?? And is he really saying it's THAT impossible for a person to know four bisexual people in one's circle of friends? Where are all the gay and lesbian people in the rest of Thedas? If you want "realism," then why not "inject" that realism into the surrounding world.
The decision itself doesn't anger me; it's the reason given. "Realism" to me is not a good reason (and many people were insulted by it). Until reading this article, I had thought they'd done it to show respect to gay and lesbian players, to finally allow them to romance someone who was THEIR orientation, and to make them feel as if the game catered to them as much as it did to straight people. If that's the reason, they should say so, because it's a noble one. But "to make things more realistic" is just a bad, bad reason.
I was more looking at the part where he said the romance arcs would feel more engaging and involved, lol.

I might do parts alone in case I want more challenge, but I like banter too much to miss it. The Inquisition should but comfy shoes and boots in this case, because they'll walk a lot
