All the good stuff is a week away. Enjoy what they're willing to share with us.

Jesus, they have done one hell of a job getting involved and giving us little tidbits of information, moreso than any other developer that I have seen.

Dayum, what's bitten your t!ts today?

I'm not complaining. My grumpy posts are usually a lot longer. It was a joke, nothing more.  B)

Skyrim had a rainbow sky right near the end of the main quest!

I almost got killed for getting distracted by it,and by every single aurora in Skyrim...Although If we get auroras in DA it might get a little confusing with all the fade tears etc...

Redcliffe

redcliffe-article-header.jpg

King Calenhad Theirin once famously declared, "The fate of Redcliffe is the fate of all Ferelden." Certainly, the castle is the first and last defense for the sole land route into Ferelden, and the country has never fallen to any force that did not first capture Redcliffe.

The castle, which despite being three times captured is popularly described as "unassailable," also guards one of the largest and most prosperous towns in Ferelden. Redcliffe village is well situated near the mountain pass to Orzammar and the Orlesian border, and so serves as a center of foreign trade. For these reasons, Redcliffe is accounted an arling despite the smallness of the domain.

The inhabitants of Redcliffe village are primarily fishermen or merchants who ship dwarven goods through the pass from Orlais to Denerim. When the entire village smells of smoked fish on certain late-autumn mornings, the merchants in their finery do their utmost to pretend otherwise.

- From In Pursuit of Knowledge: The Travels of a Chantry Scholar, by Brother Genitivi.

So that probably means we'll get to visit Redcliffe?Because that would be pretty awesome!Even though I'd like to see new areas I'm glad we'll get to visit good ol' Ferelden again, otherwise I'd be curious about how It would look like, with the new engine.

Well depending where the border actually is, West Hill might be the closest Arling.

Edit
Oh, West Hill is a bannorn, and West Hills is an Arling in the south. Seems intentionally misleading, but still.

Who knows if it's Redcliffe? The writers don't even know where it is! :P

Yeah, I'm looking forward to visiting familiar locations, even if it's only to see how they look with the new engine and spiffy new art. Not that there was anything wrong with the DAO art! But Frostbite 3 is a much more powerful engine, and newer gaming systems are much more advanced. The level of detail the new engine will probably blow me away.

Redcliffe! D: Yesterday I said I'd love to see it again...it's like magic! I would so love to see new companion information. *waits for magic to occur*

Seriously though I am really excited to see that Redcliffe is there. I want to see it in all its Frostbite 3 glory!

I will just believe they are getting all the environment stuff out of the way so they can concentrate on characters/story at E3.

(Can't wait to go back to Redcliffe!!!!)

No worries! RL does have a habit of wearing a person down, and my sense of humor is kinda iffy to begin with. Hope your day improves!  :)

Which character from any of our games would you most delight in a fireside chat? #query

Define "fireside chat", either way, Cullen!  ;)

Chat? Morrigan probably - she'd be interesting at least.

Just fireside snuggling? Alistair. Every time.

If I was invading Denerim I'd sail round the coast and drop my troops up a few miles up the coastline, and send a diversionary force to Redcliffe. But then, I'm a psychologist, and I couldnt command an armchair

Pfft *waves hand lazily from throne* I have, ahem, a general who makes those kinds of decisions for me. :P

Seems more like blood magic to me!

Spoiler

I also think that they may reveal more info about the companions at E3,after all they said they are preparing something better than FF soon...

And we're probably getting a few character blurbs soon if those tweets the other day were anything to go by!

Yeah I agree, if not at E3 not long after E3 will be the time of the companions.

That being said, I'm still impatient as heck when it comes to video game info. I want it now! D: *pout*  lol

That's the same statue that was in Therinfall Redoubt. And I think it is Andraste. I like that the statue is focusing on her warrior side. Stuff like that makes me wish Cullen were a companion, so he could better comment on stuff like that.
