How in-depth do you guys think he'll go when he talks about his past with the inquisitor? I like to think that he's all slightly still lingering in the past, but sort of accepts that those events have made him stronger, especially when you consider how dedicated he was to the Order in DA2.

I'd prob make him my tank, so sword and shield for my game. Unfortunately poor Cassandra is prob gonna get left behind a lot since I'll want to drag Cullen and IB everywhere
I'm hopeful that have the party make-up be 3/3/3 means I won't have another Sten or Oghren. Those poor dudes never left camp.

I really hope that we hear about his family or when he was a child, and what made him become a Templar. I want to know about his time at the Ferelden circle, and what happened with him after the Ferelden Circle. I want to know what his thoughts were during the Kirkwall circle and the events that happened there.
And finally, how he is during Inquisition.

IfCullen is a companion, what are you guys going to spec him as? Two-hander or Sword-And-Board?
I'm with everyone else, definitely S&S
He'll probably be my only warrior, too. I think.
Or I might make Cass 2H so she can travel with us. But I have a feeling she'll be a dialog/reaction hog in cut scenes. If so... perhaps I'll bring 2H Iron Bull.
I'll be an archer, and I'll also have Sera, who I might have to spec as a DW...
Still waiting on Solas' final design to see if he'll be a regular on the team ![]()
Vivienne I go back and forth on. She could take that third slot, not sure.

Haha, for me it was always Morrigan, Leliana and Wynn. I can just imagine the cosy conversations that happened around the camp fire whilst my warden was away killing darkspawn ![]()

It'll probably between him and Varric to really paint a picture of the mage-templar war, but mostly him, so I expect we'll get plenty of information from him. There needs to be a way to fill in the new guys, and Cullen is practically perfect for it.

Hmm, do you think he'll talk about what happened in Kinloch Hold with the inquisitor? I'm sort of torn with this one because I think that it may depend on how his character has been written and how he has developed since Kirkwall.

Morrigan, Sten, Shale, Leliana, and Oghren for me. I reeeally got into a rut with DA:O; it was horrible! I habitually took only Alistair, Zevran, and Wynne.

I could see making him my main tank for most runs, especially for a mage Inquisitor. I imagine Cassandra will tank a few times for me, too, and making Cullen DPS and, ah-hem, swing that two-handed sword around.
Since I'll be dual-wield rogueing (that's 'rogueing', not vogueging, all you Madonna fans!), Cullen will be my sword 'n board warrior, and probably Vivienne and Solas. One will be my healing mage and the other will be my damage-dealer. That will probably be my go-to party but I have the funny feeling that some party make-ups will be more beneficial depending on what the quest will be.

S&S probably, though a dual-wielding Cullen makes my mind go places too.....
I will probably start as a dual-wield rogue and the sheer crazy of all those swords could be awesome!

I felt the worst for Morrigan; she was forced by her mom to leave home to accompany the Warden on his adventures, but she spent the whole time in a damn tent!

I'm late to the party on this one, but here it is anyway:
When did you first meet Cullen (e.g. as Amell/Surana, in the Broken Circle quest, or in DAII)?
My first play-through was with a female city Elf, so I didn't encounter Cullen until we find him in the pink bubble of woe. I felt sorry for him, but I had no emotional attachment to him. I wasn't prepared to kill the mages for him (still wouldn't).
What was your first impression of Cullen?
I felt bad for him, even more so once I played the mage origin and saw what a meek and naive thing he once was.
When did your impression of Cullen change (if ever)?
In regards to meeting him in DA:O, upon encountering him in the Circle mage origin I saw that he wasn't always hard lined and it made me feel bad for what happened to him. In DA2 when he popped up in the Enemies Among Us quest I expected him to either completely mental or hard lined to the point being completely evil, so I was pleasantly surprised to see him gradually begin to doubt Meredith's way of running things. So I guess my opinions changed twice, lol.
I'm looking forward to seeing where his story arc takes him, especially now it's confirmed that we can have him do it at our Inquisitor's side.

Definitely two-hander. Moves like Mighty Blow are just so much more satisfying than anything in the sword and board repertoire.

Oh my, just imagine the shenanigans they got up to whilst the warden was off saving the world. Oghren just sitting passed out in front of the tent, Morrigan and Leliana close to throwing eachother into the fire and Sten and Shale just watching from a distance with disapproval set into every feature. Oooh the drama haha.
I was pretty much the same, I always had to take Alistair and Sten ![]()

They certainly had plenty of time to try to get used to each other, lol! I think in DA:O I just died more, so I felt I could never leave home without Wynne. Zevran was my LI, and even though he didn't have much to say outside of camp, the romantic in me made sure he tagged along. And it just plain didn't make sense to not take my fellow Warden.
I felt a lot more versatility with DA2; I couldn't begin to tell you who my go-to team was, other than that I always had the LI with me (and of course I've romanced all 4).

In ME3 I never took EDI, partly out of protest over the stupid sexbot body, and partly because it made no sense; she can talk to me from the Normandy anyway, let's get a warm body up in here ![]()

I loved DA2 for girls night out (Aveline, Isabella, Merrill & Hawke), though I didn't romance any of them. I do wish there had been more relationship based banter though.

Most certainly to some extent. New players would have no clue about his previous history, and having Cullen explain what happened to Kinloch Hold could help them understand how dangerous mages can be, and why templars could be seen as necessary. I will be shocked if Cullen makes no mention of it, or Kirkwall. They are equally important to Thedas's and his own personal history.

I usually take Alistair with me since he typically ends up as my only tank. Would sometimes take Wynne closer to end game for heals and to trigger her spirit of faith scenes.
Sometimes I really hate scenes that only trigger at certain points with some characters. Like Fenris' wounded coast scene, I nearly miss it every time.
