They certainly had plenty of time to try to get used to each other, lol! I think in DA:O I just died more, so I felt I could never leave home without Wynne. Zevran was my LI, and even though he didn't have much to say outside of camp, the romantic in me made sure he tagged along. And it just plain didn't make sense to not take my fellow Warden.
I felt a lot more versatility with DA2; I couldn't begin to tell you who my go-to team was, other than that I always had the LI with me (and of course I've romanced all 4).
Lol, I sort of commit to just the one LI (ie. Alistair, Anders and now.... Cullen!). It feels so good being able to say that at last haha. I always drag my LI along with me, no matter what my party is like. In DA2 I ended up having me, Anders, Merril and Aveline along for Merril's companion quest. Although Aveline is practically a literal tank so....
I can't wait to hear if Cullen is a companion or not. If he is I think it's fair to say I'm dragging him everywhere ![]()
Most certainly to some extent. New players would have no clue about his previous history, and having Cullen explain what happened to Kinloch Hold could help them understand how dangerous mages can be, and why templars could be seen as necessary. I will be shocked if Cullen makes no mention of it, or Kirkwall. They are equally important to Thedas's and his own personal history.
Ah that's true. I can just imagine new players playing as mages wondering why Cullen is so suspicious of them (cue picture of Cullen hlding up a chair to fend off all the mage Cullenites) ![]()
