Why?

I don't think you were rude. It's normal that people like and dislike different charactersThat he may have not been the douche bag that I thought he was, and was smarter than I thought he was also. Never liked Draco, though. Dude was a PUNK. Sorry, lol. I fell in love with the books first and it was so long ago when I read them that I can't remember what was different. But, I do remember being mad because they left things out and other small things. I guess books are always better than the movies anyways. It's all good though, I was just teasing y'all.
Sorry if I sounded rude. My favorite character was Sirius. Then the Wesley's. The whole group, basically.

I'm generally the person who roots for the bad guy. Not because I'm evil, but because it takes a well-crafted good guy to interest me. As a result, I have at least as much love for the Joker as I do Batman
and Magneto, and I'm totally on the Phantom's side in Phantom of the Opera
But then again, I'm not winning the Nobel Prize in Normalcy any time soon
I'm kinda like that as well but best characters for me are villains who are turned good or anti-heroes. I just like the complex in the characters and that they aren't purely good or bad ![]()

I like a lot Sirius and the Wesley/Weasley (don't know how it's spelled in english) as well, expecially Fred and George.
I didn't like much the film compared to the books, expecially the fifth and the sixth. When I watch the least two in the theayher I thought it was well done, and then I watched last December at home and noticed a lot of thing I dislike. It's possible that I though. They were good compared to the sixth.

Yes to ALL of that, with a side of Gambit ![]()
Though embarrassing confession time: I have a slight thing for the costume from the Halloween movies, how screwed up is that? But don't all run away at once ![]()
Well, he was kind of a broken person, ever since his childhood. It makes sense to me that he'd never move on. His life after her death is kind of a sign of how broken he was: he wasn't really living. The only reason he has to continue living was to protect Harry (whih he hated due to the similarity in appearance with James). He'd have probably killed himself if it wasn't for the goal of protecting Harry.I just thought it was the creepiest thing, mainly how he never got over her, even after she married another guy, had his kid and then died. And the way some fans added to it and fawn over it just made it creepier for me.
Oh, anti-heroes are definitely the best

I'm not really a fan of Snape/Lily as a couple. I liked them as friends. I liked him as a character for the reason I posted above, but I can see why people would dislike him, or his feelings for Lily.

I had a poster of Eric Draven (Brandon Lee) from the Crow over my bed for five years. I still love that character, especially in the graphic novel. Damaged, dangerous men are my guilty pleasure
David Bowie in The Labyrinth (Oh yeah, I just went there) with all his glittery badness. I actually think he was my first introduction to the male anatomy with that bulge in his pants that was continuously there throughout the movie!
I've just seen a comment on one of Ashe's videos that really pissed me off:
"I found that his (Cullen's) crush on my female mage to be a little creepy tbh. It actually gave me insights on how girls must feel at bars when creepy guys hit on them."
How is that anything like being hit on by a creepy guy? It's the female Warden that comes onto him, IF you even pick that option! Here's my reply:
"Speaking from experience of having creepy guys hit on me, I can assure you that it's nothing like that.
For starters it's the female Warden that can hit on him (if you pick that option)... and he literally runs away because, as he says, it would be inappropriate because she's a mage and it's his job is to essentially guard her. It would be like a jailer shagging a prisoner. IF he had been "creepy" then he would've taken her up on that offer, OR would have tried to seduce her first. He doesn't do either of these things.
And in all fairness, he was young. I'm sure we've all been there when you've had a crush on someone and the feeling wasn't mutual or you've acted really awkwardly around them because you're nervous to talk to her/him, even worse when the object of your desire finds out that you like them and people start gossiping about it etc.
Out of curiosity, have you played the Mage Origin as a female mage and talked to Cullen using all the options and dialogue available? I would suggest doing so if you haven't, so that you can see for yourself."
Sometimes I swear they're playing a completely different version of the game that we've played, LOL!
Lol,the whole female mage propositioning him,I mean really "let's get to know each other better" to guy you've probably barely even spoken to,when just a minute ago he was expressing his relief for not having to kill you, seems waaaay creepier to me...Can't blame the poor guy for running away from that weirdo.

Well, I started reading the books when I was 10/11 (I started when the first four were already published). I practically grown with the main charactersThe HP series never really captured my imagination but in all fairness I'm hardly Rowling's target audience. I read the books to see what all the fuss was about but honestly the only character I liked was Snape. It's probably a character failing but I felt more sympathy with his apparent contempt of the hero than I ever felt for Harry. I'm a mean person.

Nah you're not, I never really liked Harry to be honest, he should have been expelled from Hogwarts on numerous occasions. I just found it very hard to find any empathy when it came to Harry, yet I felt bad for Draco when it got to 6th year despite him being a jerk. And Snape, his whole story just kind of broke my heart a bit.

I do sometimes wonder what game these people have been playing ![]()
With all GE's singing, and that tweet, I'm starting to imagine them introducing the characters in the style of a musical. That would be equal parts awesome and terrifying to behold
It would be the best thing ever. I would love it so much! ![]()

*snip*
I think that that lucky person had never been stalked/approached by a creep. Cullen is ok. Having a crush on somebody is not a crime. And he was indeed very polite and restpectful, and even though it was OBVIOUS he wanted to snog our Amell/Surana in a dark corner of the tower when she offered, he refused and ran away before she did something that could have changed his mind (like, you know, flash him! Who's the creepy one here?
). He's a sweetie.
He didn't want anyone to get in trouble, and he always puts his duty first, no matter how difficult it is for him.
And also, had Cullen been creepy, I believe he wouldn't have had so many fangirls. Because we are sensitive to such things. ![]()
And here's what Sheryl Chee wrote about our Cullen 4,5 years ago:
Also, when I wrote Cullen, I hadn't heard of Twilight, so any similarities to Edward Cullen are coincidental. I did imagine him to be a young, fairly normal kid torn between his hormones and his duty. Like a more serious Alistair. Later on we decided we needed a templar survivor in the post-Uldred tower, and since people seem to enjoy it when they see people from their past, I decided to make it Cullen. In the beginning, he is sympathetic to the mages, but he comes away very changed by the things Uldred and the demons do to him.
As for the creepy stalker tendencies--er... I think that may have been started by David Gaider's little Cullen Romance snippet. I never imagined him as a creepy stalker.
