Hmm, I think I'm free tomorrow (woo, 3 month break!). I'm GMT so it'll probably be in the afternoon/evening that it'll be released. I'm sure there'll be plenty of us to make the Cullenite hashtag explode once a video is released

Two things to point out:
1) I'm not the sole arbiter of who is romanced, it's very true. The leads on the project, however, are well aware that there's some demand to romance anyone. If they overruled me based purely on the fact that some folks might want to have a romance with a particular character, we'd have to romance everyone.
2) Before someone goes on at length about how "conventionally attractive" the character they're referring to as "Cole" is, they might want to wait until they actually get a closer look. As a suggestion.

I always imagined Cole looked a bit like Kristoff (when Justice took over his body) under that shaggy mop of hair. Maybe not quite as dead looking, but certainly gaunt and sunken eyed.

And this makes me think of the time Mr. Gaider talked about a conversation in the writers pit, about how he didn't want boys romancing/touching this character because PROTECTIVE feels and 'boys are nasty', and then one of the other writers chimed in with 'now you know how fathers feel about their daughters dating'.
I can't quite remember the context, though. I think he was talking about how that gave him a bit of a new perspective... either that, or it was all light hearted. Or both. Either way, made me think of it!

Yeah, this. *IF* that's Cole (I'm trying really hard not to attach assumptions to these characters yet. With varying degrees of success, of course.), I'd really like to know, in what context he even joins the Inquisition.
I did feel a certain sympathy to him in Asunder, but it would never have occurred to me that anyone would consider him romance-bait, for a handful of reasons, the sense of scared child about him would only be one of them.

I have an equally stabby male rogue planned for one of my playthroughs who already wants to teach Cole how to be a cut-purse. Being invisible/forgettable to other people has it's perks! That character is going to be a ball to play with just because charming, opportunistic jerk with a heart of gold when he's not picking your pockets.

Cullen didn't even hit my 'aesthetically pleasing' buttons until I fell in love with his personality. (DAII did help me appreciate his jawline, though.)

Honestly, I can agree that Cullen is good-looking, but I definitely don't find him personally attractive. It's so much more than just his looks. He's SUCH a fascinating character. Sigh. I hate that my inquisitor is already half in love with him in my head

I wasn't Cullen fan in DAO either.. well to me he didn't seem crazy at all during the broken circle and I felt bad for him but DA2 was what made me fan of him ^^

Same here. And I fell for his charms during DA2, read something about the circle online later, and then went back and did the mage origin just to understand.

I played DA2 first so I'm sort of in the same boat
I was underwhelmed when I finally played the mage origin and never finished it. Of course I played a dude, so. But I just tend to find it really boring being a mage. That said, my second quizzy will definitely be a Dalish mage. He's already forming in my head
