I'm hoping there's some cool down time in DAI between meeting a character and flirting with them. DA2 was too fast c___c this would help us not overwhelm any particular character right off the bat.

Honestly, I can agree that Cullen is good-looking, but I definitely don't find him personally attractive. It's so much more than just his looks. He's SUCH a fascinating character. Sigh. I hate that my inquisitor is already half in love with him in my head
Really? His personality is the only thing that initially hooked me. You don't see a lot of characters in game (or much of anything, really) who display such a firm moral standing. That was incredibly attractive to me.

Lol, is it bad if I didn't really know who he was till DA2? I totally ignored him during Broken Circle cause he was acting batshit crazy.
Who, Cullen? The guy had just been brutally tortured during Broken Circle so I think him acting a little extreme was justified. I understand what you mean though, I was surprised that he had such a huge fan following after Origins considering he had such little screen time.

Yeah, there's Aveline, and maybe Maraas (for a tiny moment, but he left an impression on me).
With Cullen, I was just impressed with his character arch throughout the game's narrative. When he does his "You'll have to go through me!" thing, it really struck a chord in me. I didn't fully understand the whole world at the time, mages, templars, blah blah blah. But I got that this guy was wavering on both sides, and yet firmly believed in who he was and what he stood for. And for him to make that move, well, it was impressive.

I can like how anyone looks if I love their personality, or, in this case, entire character including their journey and development. When it comes to the aesthetics I pay more attention to before I know someone, though? I like strong jawlines, dark hair, tans to darker skin tones and just... not all the damn blonds I've been getting. Not that I have anything against blonds! But damn it, Dragon Age. C'mon now. ![]()
And this is why I want to touch Dramatic Hands Guy's face.
Edit: To be fair to Dramatic Hands Guy, though, if he is Dorian I fell in love with that personality blurb in the leak. Brazen and clever? Yes please.

Yep. Cullen, Aveline, maybe Sebastian (I don't like revenge killing, though, so he's only a maybe for me), and Maraas, to an extent. And, what, two hundred other characters who have questionable/absent morals? It makes those few stand out.
And amen to that, Artemis. He really seems to be trying to keep a careful balance and that's freaking beautiful. The "through me" part was probably my favorite Cullen moment in the entire game. I was like "oh hell yes."

I love that scene, but I get distracted every time I see because the camera view goes completely blurry. c__c

LOL ... I'm not normally a fan of blonds, but I can make exceptions. I picture Ser Michel from TME as blond, and he's super yum.
For me, I think I just need ruggedness. This is something new that's cropped up around age 30. I need a stern outside demeanor, rugged and calm, some stubble or full facial hair. I prefer dark hair. Skin color I don't care. And that's why I'm going ga-ga over the Beardy Warden ![]()

Oh, I do like myself some stubble/ruggedness!
I'm not personally into the full blown beards-- or at least I didn't THINK I was, but Beardy Warden looks quite attractive. Thorin is pretty damn attractive too. I guess I need to change my aesthetic eye from 'no beards' to 'depends'. ![]()

One for each character? The seneschal and the peasant.

So, if they were to make Dragon Age into a film or HBO series or something, who would you guys think would be a great actor to play Cullen? (for speculation and to hopefully get differing answers, Greg Ellis is out of the running
)
My pick would be Andrew Lincoln. He bears a (passing) resemblance to Cullen, at a glance. He can do serious acting, comedy and he's English, so he won't struggle with the accent.
Video is slightly NSFW. It's from one of my favourite comedy series, teachers.

I dunno, but gosh, this is going to sound so incredibly bitchy, but I hope the winners are actual fans and not someone who thought this would be their way into the VA industry.
