Maybe it's a silly thing to ask but i wondered: Why do most of you take his affection for a female Mage of either race as just a (childish) crush and not something with more substance/meaning behind it?
Has it soley something to do with your perception of your characters? Or is it something he does or says? Or maybe something in how it is presented to us?

And I think the fact that you can get him to run the hell away from you by flirting in the Mage origin is what makes it seem like a crush (Although not childish, not at all.) to me.

It could've been anything, either way he's romanceable in DAI, so he's obviously ready to move on/has moved on.
