It would definitely up the angst and have us saying 'Aww'.  I don't think I could see Bioware just leaving it considering how important it was for Cullen, especially during the 'Broken Circle' unless they just forgot about it.  And the fact that he has never mentioned it to anyone else would make it seem like he has really opened up to us. 

 

 

 

Haha maybe.  Unfortunately I absolutely love angst, and it has been my headcanon seen as everyone seemed to have just forgotten about him/her at the circle if you go there after (unless I missed something) and it would make for an interesting, if depressing, conversation

My babies         I miss SweetCandyRain so much, she was our sunshine on dA. Then she had a problem with her arm, and she said she won't be online for a long time after the surgery, and I haven't heard from her since then It's been almost 2 years. This drawing reminds me of her. I wish she lived nearby and I could at least call her.

 

Maybe she'll pop up again with this new game coming out?

It's just not something you get to see from him often. I really wanna see him defending our honor like that in-game... not that we couldn't deal with ourselves, but the sentiment is always welcome!

Do you guys think that Cullen still had a crush on a mage in the tower if we didn't have an Amell!Warden?  I'm curious as to whether he'll mention it when we romance him and he might stop just short of saying he had to kill the first woman he really liked/loved.  Or maybe we'll just be left to our own headcanons.

I don't think he did. He mentiones the warden, and there are rumors in the Gallows about him having a crush on the warden, but everything is quiet if there was no mage waden. So I think he didn't have anyone else. I hope he didn't. Poor guy has been through evough there already. Piles of flesh, remember? Those were his friends. He's just so mentally f***** already, I don't want to add more to it. Headcanoning is ok, though. If you think it will make his romance better. But I really want him to heal, and find happiness, and be a badass general, and do epic things

I don't count broken circle in DAO because he didn't have his head on straight at the time because of you know, all the torture. And yes, I want him defending my Inquisitors honor. I literally swooned when he stepped in front of my Hawke at the end of DA2

True ^.^ I think Bioware is to blame for my love of angst.  They've been shaping me since NWN over a decade ago haha

I want him to have dealt with most of his issues, too.  We know there'll be something, some issue we will have to help him deal with, but l hope there won't be a pile of them, you know?  It will be really nice if he's stable and strong, and able to get over the hurdles...with the Inquisitor's help, of course.

He doesn't even mention her if you haven't imported a mage protagonist game to DA2, so maybe they will just go with "It was a little crush he had as a young man that doesn't really affect him today."

And he didn't really seem angsty about her if he mentions her in DA2, more wistful, like he was remebering simpler times.

well, the codex mentions f!Mage if you import her, and I think it says that when he hears these rumors about himself, it makes him sad, but at the same time he doesn't seem sad when he remembers Hawke's cousin, so I think it makes him sad that people talk about his private life, not that he had that crush.

My Inquisitor will totally climb on his shoulders, sit on his head, mess with his hair, bring him puppies and kittens, warm the water for his bath, and bake him potatoes in her hands. She's a puppy when she's in love   If she won't make him smile, then he has no heart.

Unfortunately I have work tomorrow - Saturday classes at one of my middle schools. But I will be following twitter like a hawk to see if and when the GE video is released. To be honest, Greg Ellis himself is a pretty handsome guy so I will just be happy to watch him talking, with that also marvelous voice of his, heehee.

I like it when Cullen is awkward, but I think he's even hotter when he's being confident and assertive. I expect him to be a little bit uncertain/awkward in the beginning of the romance, but become more confident when the romance is more established.
