Regardless. IB is gonna be my right hand man for sure. I've been hoping for him to be a Follower for a long time now. Great to see.

It does seem like we get some followers early and others much later, but I'm not crazy about that approach. Yes, it is a logical way of doing it, spreading the followers out so it doesn't seem like they're all waiting outside the intro dungeon to mob the PC (I'm looking at you, Baldur's Gate 2 and your Copper Coronet), but I don't want to have to climb Mt Doom at first level just to get my favorites early. DA2 wasn't too bad. You could recruit the companions in almost any order you wanted. But DAO was terrible! You had to complete at least 20% of the game before you could even get Zevran!

yeah, and it does seem to me they May Be revealing them in the order we May meet them in game. I really hope we're not getting some half way thru the friggin game, tho. No, I don't want them all clumped together like a cup of cottage cheese 
. But I wanna have them fairly early on so we can grow and bond together.
