CheshireKat: I'm pretty sure we'll get a demo in E3  :P Can't wait to see it (or play it come fall!)

Is anyone else afraid that we won't get any Cullen info in E3 because we might be getting the Greg Ellis video soon? :S What if they made it because they knew that the Cullenites would otherwise not have anything to fawn over around the time E3 happens?

I for one couldn't wait anymore.

Hold me Cullen!

33oqyrs.jpg

My likes are back! And here, Cullen, have some!

I actually wouldn't think Cullen would want to just throw all the Inquisition's resources into conquering every keep in Thedas. That would be pretty poor military strategy, to take a bunch of keeps without considering how you're going to supply them and without any way to gather intelligence about potential threats.

It would make a lot more sense for the advisers to work together than be adversarial. They might disagree about resource allocation at times, but on a basic level they would all be in a better position to achieve their respective goals if they had some support from the other pillars.

If Cullen is doing his job right, he shouldn't just be pressing for constant military action, because there's more to having a strong military force than just fighting battles. I think Cullen is smart enough to know this, and diplomatic enough to realize he should try to get along with the other advisers. I think he'd agree in principle that resources need to be divided between the three areas in some manner, not given exclusively to his own.

^^^This.

I even hope that at some point Cullen will tell you, "Thank you, we have enough military force for now. But I'd advise to talk to mistress Scribbles, she has some interesting ideas about how to get more silverite for our army. You really should talk to her, your Reverence."

Well, it seems like Cullen is the hot topic of the day on the boards. I'm assuming it's the bog standard fan service, Mage killer stuff? I'm not going to bother reading them myself because it's all gotten a little dull by now. Are we all vapid fan girls this time around - what am I saying, of course we are! :)

Well looks like it's binge watching Orange is the new black for me tonight then. Sleep tight. :)

Pretty much. At least they moved it to other threads.

Also, to those who were discussing Scribbles, here's her official thread: http://forum.bioware.../#entry16411776

Yeah, I mean they're the "pillars", right? Meaning things work best when the Inquisition's power is spread equally across the 3. Putting too much weight on just one of those 3 pillars could cause problems down the line. That's my theory, anyway.

Yeah. Like for example if you invest too much into the Military Pillar, you have a huge army. But you have barely any intelligence and no one is willing to trade with you to help fund them.

Yeah, exactly like that. Perhaps that would cause problems for the end battle? Like, say we put all our stock into the political pillar, when it came to the end battle our troops are low in number and not at full force and we have no idea what the enemies are planning because we didn't make proper use of our spy faction, the results being a devastating loss of lives and despite beating the boss, Thedas is in total ruins or something... kinda like with ME3, but done better!

Yeah, or finally if you invest too much in the Espionage Pillar you have great intelligence but a lack of diplomacy has made others distrustful of you so won't help and your forces are not enough to combat your foes.

I'm trying to think how they might all affect each other.
Military branch ----> needs supplies from the Trade and Politics branch ----> needs to convince the local nobles to allow it ----> Intelligence branch gives you information to blackmail them

That's as far as I've gotten

Military branch provides protection to merchants etc travelling with supplies?

Yeah, loads of them. They get closed down when people get too heated or start attacking each other, lol.

They crop up from time to time. We haven't had one in a while though. They die out pretty quickly so long as we don't post there. Otherwise it's just people saying yeah, I don't like him, or I'm apathetic towards him, which doesn't exactly make for sparkling conversation. The only way it can go from there, is attacking his fans directly, which is when you report them, but don't engage in them. Easy.

The current one isn't actually too bad. A couple of jibes to the fans, but it's pretty tame all things considered.

I know I make jokes about haters gonna hate and stuff, but I do feel some empathy towards the people who really hate him with a passion (only a little though). I mean, it must be frustrating to find out that a character you hate with a burning passion has not only made it into the third game, but is also an important part of it, lol. I mean, I think I'd start to get a bit cheesed off if it was Tallis in Cullen's place, LOL!

Well that one just strongly dislikes the character apparently, there were some who directly attacked the fans though which is rather sad...

It happens. They wouldn't have the balls to be so insulting and rude to our faces in real life... well, I wouldn't recommend doing it to me, anyway!

I've just never found a character that I hate so much that i'd rage about them being in a game. I guess I just don't think about it all that much. Sure there are characters that I find irritating, but I'd never go and seek out a hate thread for them. I'm a lover  :P

lol, it's like with me and Leliana. I thought I was free of her, but she just keeps coming back from every direction   Not that I hate her, just kind of tired of her sometimes.

I actually hope Cullen will change people's minds about him in DAI. So far it seems players mostly hate him because they don't understand what happened to him during Uldred's rebellion, and that the murderous crazy Cullen in DAO epilogue was retconned, and he didn't actually kill any children.

Me neither. Tallis is one I find irritating but I don't hate her with a burning passion... I mean, what's the point? It's not like they're real. Save that sh!t for someone who's hurt you in real life!

Hehe,I doubt as well, not as easy to insult someone when you're not hiding behind a keyboard after all.

Though I should've probably avoided that, but when one of them started sterotyping and insulting the fans I got slightly angry!
