I wonder what Greg Ellis thinks about Cullen. I don't have a twitter account so I only hear little bits about what he has been tweeting. Has he ever said anything about if he likes "being" Cullen or what he thinks about him?

Hello everyone! First post here, I've been reading up on the forums the last few days and *heh* finally mustered up the courage to join in. I haven't been in a forum for yearssss. You guys are so great and it's lovely to meet everyone! E3 is only a few days away and I would love to discover all the news together with y'all. 

 

I must say I'm really glad to find a safe zone for Cullen fans on here, although there has been some hate going on today. Sigh.

For the most part he's completely oblivious since he does a lot of voice work for all sorts of things and he's not played the games. He's only recently learnt about us and our love of Cullen so I think it's only now that he's probably done any research, LOL!

I know I make jokes about haters gonna hate and stuff, but I do feel some empathy towards the people who really hate him with a passion (only a little though). I mean, it must be frustrating to find out that a character you hate with a burning passion has not only made it into the third game, but is also an important part of it, lol. I mean, I think I'd start to get a bit cheesed off if it was Tallis in Cullen's place, LOL!

 

I can't say I'm a very big fan of Leliana. I think she's absolutely tedious, although I don't quite hate her. Yet BW keep bringing her back again and again, even if you've killed her. I still don't feel the need to make hate threads about her, though. I'm fine with people disliking Cullen or whoever they want to dislike, but it would be nice if they weren't being so rude about it.

Just asking out of curiosity, but if you guys don't feel like rehashing it that's coolies. But what do they say about us? *looks up at you all with wide eyes*

It's mostly just 'silly fan girl' stuff, (which I have seen get pretty misogynistic in the past), that we only like him because he's hot, that we're in to creepy stalkers, that Cullen's return is just fan-service, (again, can easily get flat out misogynistic), general slagging off of this thread. I think that's just about it regarding us specifically, at least the stuff I've seen/remembered. It used to be much worse, but this was before we even knew he was in the game. But even then, we did nothing to antagonise anyone, we kept to our thread in the DA2 subforum, while the haters were mostly in the main Inquisition forum.

Urgh, they should just make me a bloody mod already I swear I've been here long enough to know the correct protocol for this sort of thing.

I don't think he has clear view of Cullen. He had done so many characters during his years lol. He hasn't said much of the game nor characters in it, he hasn't played yet I think, he got the game from BW though and said he'd tweets something when he plays it XD I guess we will knew more when his voice acting video is uploaded

Yeah. I mean, I'm always up for a good debate and I'm totally cool with people not liking him. I just really don't want people coming in just to attack the fans/individuals with a barrage of needless insults.

But there is a difference between a discussion and blatant antagonism and it seems a lot of people have trouble differentiating between the two, kind of sad really.

I understand everyone has their own opinions, I've never understood people who have deep passionate hate for characters who feel the need to spread that hate. It's quite silly, seeing as these are fictional characters who shouldn't affect your life negatively. Even worse when you start hating on other fans for liking said character(s). I mean we all have characters we like/don't like, it doesn't mean you have to give people crap for it.

lol, it's like with me and Leliana. I thought I was free of her, but she just keeps coming back from every direction   Not that I hate her, just kind of tired of her sometimes.

 

I actually hope Cullen will change people's minds about him in DAI. So far it seems players mostly hate him because they don't understand what happened to him during Uldred's rebellion, and that the murderous crazy Cullen in DAO epilogue was retconned, and he didn't actually kill any children.

I never really cared that much about Leliana to be honest,I knida liked her did love her accent though but not to the point where I consider her fascinating like Morrigan or Alistair for example.
