And for the record, just to be clear: I don't mean I think anyone here is being like a petulant child. I get not being terribly enthused about Viv, since I myself am still wanting to know more about others (*cough* Cullen *cough*) though I am stoked to see her since I think she's interesting, but I was referring more to the loud whiners griping at the devs. I hope I haven't ruffled any feathers here as that wasn't intended.

Hey, give me some credit, I've only just started learning these terms!
Aloof exterior, could kill you with her little finger without the slightest hint of emotion... yet inside beats a warm heart, waiting to love you... kuudere lol
Tsundere is a loud-mouthed angsty sort who complains a lot but deep down is a softy who also wants to love you. Think Fenris.
Yandere... very cute and pleasant on the outside, capable of killing with a smile on her face... a little bit crazy (or a little crazy). Possibly Merrill. But usually with yandere they're so gentle-seeming that it's almost creepy lol
Dandere ... just basically a really really shy character. Usually a quiet blushy girl in anime; consequently, I've not seen many of this type since I watch shounen and BL lol

Count yourself lucky you probably won't have to. In my upcoming DnD with my friends, I have several five syllable Japanese words to learn that are incredibly scary to pronounce! Terrifying, even!

I need real life friends who will play DnD with me
I can pronounce most Japanese words, so let me know if you need help. Of course there is the Cullenite who actually lives in Japan; obsessedwjpn...? Or something? (I know her, just can't remember her fully correct nickname).

I think it's sad really, to be like a petulant child over what Bioware chooses to share. They could just not share anything. Yes it's not the ones fans are most excited about since Viv was revealed a while ago, but E3 starts tomorrow - we'll get there. Of course the devs are going to reveal all of them again since more eyes are on Bioware during E3, and they'll save the biggies for last. Not that Viv isn't a biggie but she is an unknown in terms of who the fans are rooting to see again or learn about. They're going to slowly reveal all the goods but save what you really want for last so the satisfaction is all the sweeter! It's like foreplay!
IDK. I tend to get turned off when there's too much focus on one character at the expense of others (Morrigan and Leliana, cases in point). I like the characters going in, and early reveals pique my interest, but then, when the characters are hyped to infinity and back... I start to reach a saturation point. My enthusiasm for Morrigan lasted a lot longer than my affection for Leliana (and yes, there really was a time when I liked her - quite a bit, in fact), but endless exposure has had a negative impact on my opinion. I keep thinking, "Why all the Leliana? Wasn't Zevran part of the party, too?"
There's a simple solution: give everyone equal face time. Don't push certain characters while ignoring others. If the character is that unimportant that we don't even need to hear about them, why include them at all? Why not just come up with a character who *is* important enough to talk about?" It would literally kill me if DHMG was only included as "secondary male romance lead" or worse, "We've got this fabulous concept art. Find a way to get it in the game."
As I said, I am fond of Vivienne, and I am excited to hear about her, but she's had more than her share of attention. Spreading it around among the other followers might keep fans like me from reaching the saturation point quite so soon.

I have studied some japanese as well and I don't find pronouncing japanese hard at all.. but I guess it's because finnish might have similar pronounciation in some things, english in other hand it's much harder to pronounce ^^;

I feel the same. I get that way when I see anything too often, there are some "ships" within the DA fandom that literally drive me insane, lol.

What's sad is that we are still four months out from the game. I'd say that there are some problems in the marketing strategy if fans are getting way too saturated on characters this far out. This is evidenced by the pretty overall negative/apathetic reaction I'm seeing on Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook to today's reveal.

In some ways I think marketing for the game could've been handled better, but I feel bad criticizing BW in their own forum, and me not being an expert in marketing.
In any case, I'm not feeling "over" saturation just yet, although I'm still feeling like the only way you could get me to have Varric in my party would be to threaten me with violence, so I get the feeling to some degree lol

I can understand that. I'm not as happy to see Viv as I would be to see Cullen, or Scribbles or Solas but I am happy to see the info still flowing. I guess I don't feel saturated yet because I'm not able to take in all the latest info as it's released but grab it in little bites, on the run, instead. I would have thought they'd go with another character because Viv had an "official" reveal and stuff but I also think that Bioware wants to basically do the reveal from Start because it's E3 and more eyes - new eyes - are on them. They partially revealed the lineup before and are now revealing it in its entirety from "go" at this big shindig that is E3 and are saving the ones the fans really want to see for last. Kinda like a movie preview at a film festival after the teaser trailers have been out for a while.

I'd like for being proven wrong, but for now i think that they'll show only IB, Sera and Blackwall at E3, and the rest of the 'new' companions will be shown later. It's better to expect this (which is in all honestly enough for me) and no the whole cast.
This is my fear.. : (
EDIT - Thinking about it, at least they'll probably continue with the reveals right after E3.

In MrBob's podcast he said that the default team was Vivienne, IB and Sera so that explains a lot. I guess Blackwall got revealed since his concept art was show waaaaay back when DAI was still just a "hypothetical".

I'm not a fan either (as you know lol) but yeah I make it a rule to never complain (seriously) about other people's ships. Being an anime/manga fan, and a BL fan at that, man, you can get caught in some serious shipping wars, and it ain't pretty! lol It can pretty much ruin the entire fandom for you sometimes.

I think there might be two demons, and Blackwall might take IB's spot in one. Or maybe they'll appear in the trailer at the conference.

I wish I could get into the CullenxAmell and Fenders ships because there's soooo much fic! And that means there's got to be some good ones. And the art! *swoon* But... they just don't float my boat...
