In term of origins's writing, the Dwarf Noble is the best one in my opinion, with the CE one as close second.
My canon is still a Cousland though. I like their integration to Ferelden's politics, and I loved how my character development through the story. I still don't know what to do with Loghain though :/.

Dwarf noble and human noble are my favorites too. Then the human mage. I like how the human noble origin fits with the rest of the story, especially if you romance Alistair and become the queen.

I nearly always kill Loghain. My Cousland always kills him, she's always aiming for the throne.

It's okay. Howe gets rid of her for Fergus! :D
(Ouch that was really mean... I feel bad now.)

I liked the Couslands, if only because they are a family of decent people who love each other. I really liked the parents. Although I think that overall the Human Noble origin is pretty over-played, I still like it (even though I prefer mages). In fact I'm planning on my "Countdown to Inquisition" playthrough to be a Lady Cousland.

Same here working on it now as a refresher until DAI comes out!!! I love the mage origin I just hate that all I do is poke crap with my stick...seriously??

Irritatingly so far both my Warden and Hawke have been mages. Rogue is my favourite class but I prefered the Mage origin and I prefered Carver over Bethany so I had to be a mage to keep him alive... plus, it added an extra layer since Hawke and my Amell were cousins. In DAI I'll be playing a bloody mage again for at least my first playthrough just because there's supposed to be some sort of big reaction to mage protagonist's mid way through the game or something, plus Cullen's romanceable, so I have to do it... for science!

For me, best/favorite origins in order of bestest: Dalish, city, Aeducan. All others are perfectly fine but not in my list of favorites.

Hey she was stealing the mages MAN!! until at least Alistair or Zev got their paws on ya!!

In my playthrough Jowan was more like a brother to my Surana,so she wanted him to be happy and thus risked everything...Even though I didn't like Lily much.

I could have murdered her when she turned against Jowan. I mean, I get that the blood magic thing was bad, but to refer to him in such a cold way when she supposedly loved him... I dunno, I just thought she would have been more broken up about it, LOL!

Something about her didn't sit well with me from the beginning ,but yeah at that moment was when I disliked her even more.

I liked all the origins but my favorite and canon is the Cousland`s origin. I thought it was well connected with the rest of the story, i liked the family and my femwarden, that romanced Alistair, could become queen  :P. The revenge on Howe was also very satisfactory  :bandit:.

The human mage origin and the city elf origin are my second/third favorites.

I nearly always kill Loghain. My Cousland always kills him, she's always aiming for the throne.

I played two different versions of my canon after Landsmeet choice, based on killing of sparing him (it doesn't change the rest since Al is hardened and married Anora).
To clarify, my character was nearly driven mad by what happened in the Origin. Being a Warden and stopping the Blight is what saved him from madness and to recover.
Howewer, he suspected the fact that Howe got away after Cailan's death, and began suspecting that Loghain was involved after knowing his role in Eamon's poisoning (i know he's not involved with the Cousland. I never thought he was, but My knowledge isn't relevant To my characters). After seeing Howe with Loghain at the start of the Landsmeet quest, he thought his suspicion was true and decided to kill him.
Basically I roleplayed one time where he gave in to revenge and the other where his Warden's duty prevailed. I don't know which one to consider my canon, since Inloved equally how it ended.

Irvin,I kind of liked him as he was pretty much a mentor figure to my warden...But she  just couldn't betray Jowan to  anyone.

Pretty sure canon wise for keep will me Cousland becoming Queen. Hawke will be a mage and them I will start with a Fem Qunari Mage...I just like the idea that Cullen will fall for a mage yes but also a Qunari......interesting

RIGHT!?
The waving my stick around was getting kinda old until I found the Arcane Warrior spec. But then I had to crank the difficulty up because things were getting too easy. It's such a game breaker, but its so much fun to run around bashing things with swords, wearing full plate AND blowing up enemies with Walking Bomb while keeping my buddies healed. :)

Makes me wonder what the mage class will be like to play in DAI.

I kinda hope those rumours about Cullen get brought up in DAI, and he'd be like: "What? Preposterous!"

And I will fangirl forever if the next words out of his mouth are "The writers are worse than a weaving circle."

My Surana had a better-than-you complex and was tired of Jowen hanging on to him when the guy sucked as a mage. Yeah my Surana was kind of a brat... lol

Irving? What does he say when you do that?

I can't remember it perfectly, but he's proud of you and asks you to spy on them lol He's very fatherly towards Surana (Amell, too, presumably), and I think my Surana looked up to him.

Oh, but I will say it doesn't really make sense when things come to a head; Irving steps in and says Surana was working for him and is blameless, but the templars go insane and are like KILL HIM ANYWAY!!! So then Duncan has to step in and say, I'll make him(/her) a Warden.

It was kinda lame.

You can actually get Irving to go into the Fade to get rid of Connor's demon in DA:O, he literally one shots the bugger, and when the desire demon tries to tempt him he's like "meh, not interested!"

I usually rat him out, too. Mostly because if you stand there talking to Irving long enough, he pretty much spills the beans on his own. He says that he knew about Jowan and Lily, but he was unaware that they were trying to escape. He encourages you to play along and help them so that they can catch Lily in the act. Jowan's fate is sealed, but he wants Greagoir to admit that Jowan wasn't the only one in the wrong.

Irving was the Warden's personal mentor, if I recall. I liked their relationship.

I love how different my original Origins experience was to how I am now. My first ever playthrough was a Surana, and I was like YAY Blood Magic! Boo with Chantry oppression! And now I'm like, yeeeeaaaah, probably best to keep 'em locked away.

I worry about Irving, he was in the Asunder novel. He's far too old to be running around dealing with that sh!t!

Oh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one to rat out Jowan. My m!Amell is a total political climber and has no problem betraying Jowan to gain Irving's approval.

Yeah, I agree :(.
Hmm. I wander if the decision in The Broken Circle quest might affect in some way the mage-templar war in the hinterlands.

My Amell almost ratted out Jowan, but ultimately kept quiet out of loyalty. Loyalty to friends can be a great thing and all, but it can bite my heroines in the butt... I'm looking at you Anders.

Hopefully Cullen won't test our loyalties like that. I don't think he will, but I'm curious about some of the other companions...

I wonder what he'll have to say if we side with the mages during the mage/templar war... providing they aren't red templars, obviously.
