It just feels so silly when we're all using different words and terms to discuss. Like flaily hands/againmaybe!dorian/trident guy/DHMG/chevalier/whathaveyouman.

Yeah even though I'm grateful for them throwing a bone like that, I really wish they'd tell us what it will mean to be an NPC romance in DA:I. Okay, I still believe it's possible the Grey Warden is out, or is a temp companion, or there is an either/or situation with the warriors, but if that isn't true, and Cullen is an NPC, please let us know what that means.

 

(I'm sure the devs are peeking in here and thinking, such demanding fans, these Cullenites!)

I think that it should be pointed out that the session said "even spread", not specifically 3/3/3. I would consider 3/3/2 an even spread if two of the companions were mutually exclusive, (like with Carver and Bethany were).

 

And also that there was some giggling going on about being able to "have all warriors", which suggests that Iron bull and the Warden also may be romanceable

I thought Solas was official? I'm sure one of the devs confirmed it... christ, I should pay more attention to the DAI videos I make, LOL!

That's a really good point... this is going to sound odd but the first playthrough is special so it's important to me to pick a good LI to share that with.  Subsequent playthroughs are still exciting, but you'll never get to go through it for the first time again.  I swear I'm still talking about the game

 

I'll most likely romance a man since my first PT is usually based off me, but it'll be REALLY hard to decide if they include Solas or DHMG as the other LI :/  Grrr, but Cass is awesome too.  DAMN IT BIOWARE, why do all your characters have to be so cool?

 

This is so true. With DA2, I tried to make a chracter as far from what I'd usually make so that my second run, which I was planning on having be my humorous!archer run (and my canon run), would go smoother.

 

I completely fell in love with aggressive!mage Hawke. Oops.

I'm listening to the trailer again and I swear it sounds like the inquisitor has a stuffed up nose. Couldn't they have waited for him to get over his cold before recording?

This is so true. With DA2, I tried to make a chracter as far from what I'd usually make so that my second run, which I was planning on having be my humorous!archer run (and my canon run), would go smoother.

 

My first has always been one of two canons so far. Of course the first playthrough is completely effed up, but after playing the game a few more times, I go back and replay the canon making all the proper decisions.

I wonder if we'll have the option to recruit other people in place of the companions they've revealed? Say I wanted Cullen in Iron Bulls spot?  Could I pass up recruiting Iron Bull for Cullen?  Not really wanting the Qunari.

And really, once we know more about how imports will work, and whether or not Hawke and the Warden will make an appearance (that's still up in the air, right?), I'm going to hold off replaying my DA:O canons. The game is just too overwhelming! Also I pulled it up a few nights ago and it's just so hard to make an elf who doesn't look like he has a tiny pinhead lol

I thought this as well.  He was pictured with the group in magazines, screen shots and the Discover the Dragon Age video.
