Does anyone know of a good reference for ballroom dancing? It is for a fic! The page 1000 fic!

 

YouTube videos? Everything I know about dance comes from watching ice dancing lol (figure skating version of ballroom)

I would like the music to shift like, in towns, have said 'good mood music/celtic' and the outskirts, have peaceful music/animal sounds, and in darker areas, scaryish music/sounds/lack of sounds.

 

I could be remembering wrong (someone please correct me if I am?), but I think the devs might have mentioned that, because of how the music has seamless changes, releasing a sound track might be difficult/they might release it as one big thing? So that could mean interesting things for the music in game?

 

I could be WAY off the mark on that, though. Hopefully not, just because it's concerning if my head space is making up things like that.

Me too. We've seen so much talk about how the wildlife/environment system works, but not much about actual cities and villages.

 

Like, is it weird I kind of want like the atmosphere that Zelda, Ocarina of Time's Hyrule town had? The music was all happy and there were noises of people talking and shopping at stands. Also, Majora's mask had some fun people in town.....I used to make Link visit the inn and pretended that he worked there (I was a kid so I had a wild imagination) o3o

Majora's Mask creeped the hell out of me when I was a kidlet. 

 

The moon scared me to DEATH! But, I still loved the masks and liked to pretend that my character was apart of the environment.....guess that side of me that craves being immersed in the village life has never truly faded, huh?

And there's totally nothing wrong with that! I adored the little village bit at the start of the first Fable, just because it showed how the character lived before everything went to hell.

You're never a figure skating fan too Artemis?  Really?  I have a cluster of kids utterly obsessed with figure skating and spend a large proportion of my life in rinks these days!

 

Probably shouldn't go to far off topic, I think Cullen would make an awesome skater and totally pull off the rhinestones.

I find it funny that Zelda games have manged to skeeve me out a bit more than Dragon Age has don't get me started on zant. Hespith's chant is probably the closest to shuddering I've gotten.

 

I'm hoping the FB3 engine will be able to convey creepiness better, for lack of better words. Ominous atmosphere? Imagine Ferelden's circle tower in the FB engine.

Midna was adorable. Ahh you know, I never even got halfway through that game. I swear pumped like 100 hours into it, and when I realized how much I had left, I gave up on it. Granted, the Wii wasn't mine; it belonged to someone else, so that factored into it.

I love the sort of creep the Zelda games and Dragon Age and Mass Effect do. I'm not really into the horror genre because of the jump scares that seem to be rampant in such games, but games that are creepy just because of story and atmosphere? Yes please.

I watched f. skating a long time ago... I am perhaps the biggest Alexei Yagudin fan alive. We're the same age, so... I fell in love with him around 18 years old. I was in his fan club... it was basically just a group of people who emailed back and forth lol They (Alexei's people) sent us signed postcards and stuff. Once in a blue moon Alexei would send us a message. Oh, glorious, glorious days.

 

I also loved ice dancers Anissina and Peizerat as well as pairs dancers Shen and Zhao and last but not list, ladies singles skater Michelle Kwan

I noped the hell out of there at the end, when I found out I had to do the take-the-giant-ball-through-a-maze-with-a-giant-hand-after-you twice. I don't have that much patience for those kinds of shenanigans.

Well, as I've stated before, Varric is my broski for lifer, so I'd have to go with Cullen (In terms of actual romantic interest). But, IDK, I kind of want one of my characters to be Bi and a bit of a player (not my canon one though)... that one would end up with all the romances (and would be used to experiment with jealousy banter...if there is any.
