Is it silly that his one little neck rub totally filled my old cold heart with joy? I mean, that's our Cullen. That's my darling boy. I'm let down that we didn't more of him today, sure, but apparently the Bioware world doesn't revolve around Meli. Who knew? But he's totally our Cullen, all awkward. Guh.
No, not at all. That is HIM. That is one of his gesture traits and I adore it! ADORE IT I TELL YOU! 
I felt super proud seeing him do his little raised sword thing. I don't think we've ever witnessed him do any sort of celebratory action, let alone watch him lead like that... just a pity they stuck that giant lion helmet on his head, lol!
I wonder if it's optional.
I'm thinking that there's more to that scene then we can see. Like perhaps there's an army lying in wait that the camera scrolled over before it got to Cullen, Inq and Morrigan, but the footage was not put in the trailer.
they tend to add and remove things for dramatic effect (or to avoid spoilers) so it wouldn't surprise me. Unless that was the end of a quest that went well and he's like "yay!" and Morrigan is like "meh, whatever". 
I'd been assuming they just didn't have time to animate in people reacting but it was easy enough to add the noise.
RE: neck rub, does anyone have a video + time stamp for it? I re-watched two trailers and didn't see it but I heard there was a third?
EDIT: Also, I was expecting to loathe Sera from the "bratty" thing on the survey but it sounds like she's going to enjoy pissing off the nobility just as much as my Trevelyan so maybe they'll be BFFs.

It bloody better be, and if not then I hope he's wearing for a good reason... like he's in an area where someone could recognise him if he's trying to avoid the rebel templars or something.

...maybe it's because Cullen is like the Cowardly Lion!! And when he wears his powerful lion mask, he feels confident enough to slay the dragon! Fight the bad guys! LEAD THE INQUISITION!

Yeah definitely, I hate impractical armor in games. I don't care if he is a hulking beast of a man, a blade is a blade that will slice through his skin no matter how muscular he is
