Here's the full list of feature mentioned i the Escapist    It just seems too short. For me it'll be a big enough disappointment. It means 4 tree per class, plus the specs (3 per class).
I asked Allan in another thread, don't know if he can confirm it.

It makes sense. There are 4 schools of magic after all. I think Primal will just be re-integrated with the Elemental School.

This makes me think things like Berserker or Bloodmage are just abilities, not specializations.

I'm kind of assuming (since they said previously that a lot of aspects in DAI are going to be harder than in the first two games) that it will take longer to level up and that's why they don't have as many skills to choose from. Or maybe I'm just justifying it to myself so I don't feel the disappointment....

Possibly. I didn't think of that.

They were already confirmed to not be specs. I don't think they're in this time.

There was what I thought was a Tempest specced Rogue quizzie glimpsed - looked like she had some blue light blazing on her daggers as she cut through people.

Well, Leliana has been through that before, yes? Maybe not dangling from a chain but she was tortured. She's got this!

The thing is, she wasn't technically damselled, because she was the player character. She was imprisoned, but not for long, and she was never totally, one hundred percent helpless at the end of the day. It appears like she is there in that trailer.

It could at least be an enchantment. Sera seemed to have it too.

I don't know; I'm not in favor of defeatist attitudes like that to be honest. I mean it is up to the artists, writers, and developers to make positive changes when it comes to such tropes. 20 years ago these games would probably have a single female character, a princess for us to rescue. Look how far we've come.
