Yeah they sound great, but I'm starting to think we won't get an orlesian sounding inquisitor

We won't. This is confirmed. You have the choice between a posh English accent and a midwest American accent.

Honestly? There was a little tear in my eye, it felt like I'd waited so long to see it.  It is gratifying to be so very pleased by the reality of it.  I must have watched it over a dozen time already.  ^_^

I know right, after so long with hardly anything on him, the war room pic was almost like they stuck a cardboard cut out of him in, the lack of him in any videos and hardly a word on him. Almost made me feel like he could be disposed of at any moment, so to see that was just amazing. He's really in it and a with a much bigger part! I think it took a while for me to even watch the complete trailer the first time, I kept replaying his part.....I got the feels

We already know we aren't. We're getting one British, one American for each gender.

The hell is the point about being in Orlais then.

Damn. Now I'll never get my snooty pepe-le-pew Drwarven inquisitor

I'm glad we are not getting Orlesian accents. And I hope nobody in the party is faking them. I hate it. I like Leliana's accent, but Marjolaine's and Dorothea's make my ears bleed. I love my Warden's VA, but when she does that accent, my ears explode.

Did you know that the Midwest American accent is the closest you can get to not having an accent. (I get bored sometimes and I look up stuff :P )

Apparently, but all American accents sound more or less the same to me. Barring the Southern and the weirder New York accents, of course.

Those are pretty much the only the accents we have here lol

"Heroes" trailer in case anyone's missed it (Cullen can barely be seen at the far left side top in the last scene)

I'm from Michigan but I speak with a Californian accent, I blame tv. :P (people from Michigan are known to have a slightly more nasally voice than other northern states.)

I'm interested how different a mid-western accent will sound in amongst so many other accents. There aren't typically many 'non accented' characters in Thedas. I want to be the one who stands out lol :P

So here's a thought. Rewatching the cello trailer, the symbols here are very Chantry. Not inquisition. And our Inquisitor is in there with greeny Fade stuff. Could this be Haven and the Sacred Ashes temple...?

Well I hear there's a Chicago accent which was played up in Blues Brothers, (didn't notice anything being played up there), a Californian accent which I have been told Grey DeLisle has much to my dismay and others which escape me right now. Is there a New England accent?

Funny you should say this! As someone who doesn't speak English as their native language I've noticed that mimicking an American accent is very easy (almost automatic) when you just switch to speaking English very nasally :D

I'm happy to have the choice, but I kind of really wanted an Orlesian option since it seems like Orlais is a pretty important locale in this game. There's no chance our inquisitor came from there? Really loving the Fem Inquisitor's performance though. I guess this partly explains why I thought Samantha was so great in ME3!

Edit: spelling! Also, authentic accents all the way! Didn't anyone feel relieved by the time Riordan showed up in DA:O, after all those affected accents? Just me?

My thought was that she brings the passionate underground of rebels and thieves with her...? Like, the groundswell could be Briala's elves even..?

Well, she's a Friend of Red Jenny, so it makes a lot of sense
