seriously, can he even see through that thing? It looks like it covers his face at least down to his nose, and if they put peep holes into the eyes now that would be really silly.
I think he's seeing through the mouth... not that I've looked at the gifs on Phate Phoenix's tumblr for hours while chatting with Cullenites... :-)
Still, is has to hinder his vision and maybe his movement too! It makes me think there has to be a significant reason he's wearing it.

But it seems to go with his armour, the fur on his shoulders at least. It wouldn't be so bad but it throws his whole body shape out of proportion, it reminds me of one of those caricatures you know big heads little bodies.
