Hmm... hasn't David Gaider been saying that we will have the same amount of romance as before until now? Or am I really misremembering things? I thought he made a point some time ago that the romance content won't be any more or less than in the last games. I'm confused

Yes, he has said that the total romance budget did not go up. But who knows if that's changed. Or if the number of romances increased, and so the content per romance has decreased. I think we just don't know.

 

But, I'm going to be optimistic and think it all increased! w00t!

I don't think enough to cover various other romances without sacrificing more content. Rivalmances really didn't differ all that much from friendmances except for a few scenes and lines. Not enough to cover an entire arc of some other character's romance, I don't believe.

 

Mind you "the most" romances so far could just mean one or two more than usual, lol.

I don't think I'd want a vast array though, I don't want any of the romances to feel lacking or paper thin.

I was actually thinking about this: What if 6 companions (of the nine) and 2 Advisor (Since they've already said no to Leliana?). That's probably way too much, but still, interesting to think about.
