Yes, he has said that the total romance budget did not go up. But who knows if that's changed. Or if the number of romances increased, and so the content per romance has decreased. I think we just don't know.

 

But, I'm going to be optimistic and think it all increased! w00t!

Hmm... yes he did say that about the budget. However, this leads me to suspect the number of romances was always more than 4. We never actually heard how many romances there were going to be in the game, and although we still don't know now many, we know it's going to be more than previous games. So as I said, I suspect the amount of romances was always more than we were thinking, therefore, the budget wouldn't need to be increased, nor will we need to be concerned that the content will be less. If that makes any sense at all.

I was unable to watch the demo, but is it possible they said, "Cullen, he's very divisive?" Not that spoken statements need to adhere to rigid grammatical rules, or that devs don't make up words on the spot, but either would make sense.

Ok, I'm glad Cullen is not there to make us love him. It sounds like he will be his own person, and may have unpopular opinions. Also, IB's profle looks like Cullen and IB may have issues. Maybe Cullen and Varric will be in team "Qunari are bad" against IB?
