Hey you lovelies! I am kind of trying to avoid videos and the forums (so harddddddd) because of spoilers and things, but has there been any news on the interview with Greg Ellis? Perhaps this Friday? /can't waittt/
(And a bit late to the party, but Cullen's lion helmet if FABULOUS. ;o;)
Nothing confirmed, but our deductive powers are pointing towards DG.
Yeah? Gosh, I hope that's true. I find that I've really enjoyed the companion stories he's written. I think I feel most connected to those characters, regardless of romances.

Sadly, no, there's been nothing so far.

Well, he wrote Fenris, my all-time favorite character, so yeah ![]()
Cullen's previous writer, Jennifer Hepler, has on her resume (available through LinkedIn) that she'd written a romance for DAI before leaving the company. So we're assuming that was Cullen.
Then DG stated he wrote two romances and had to rewrite one character from the ground up. We know DG is writing Cass, who is a LI, and we are assuming he's writing his own character, Cole, who is likely not a romance. So the second romance, and character who had to be rewritten from the ground up, we're guessing (emphasis on GUESSING) is Cullen.

I was actually thinking Jennifer Helper wrote him before she left. We know she wrote a LI before she left, and considering she wrote him for DA2, it's definitely a possibility. Could also be she started and DG finished, or some other such thing.

Ah, thank you. I knew there was a reason I thought he's been written by a female writer. No disrespect to Jennifer Helper, but I'm more excited at this possibility now.
I think Fenris was my favourite romance as well. Loved his development (I friendmanced) I also loved how he started hanging out with Donnic and Aveline. Great banters in the DLC for that!
I might go with my M Hawke/Anders romance for DA:I though ... not sure ![]()

What about Morrigan?
What about Morrigan?
What about her...?
Can't I just bromance Cullen, without shagging him. That's all I've ever wanted.
Of Course, go for it!
I never romanced Morrigan, but I loved her friendship story.
Wow lol I think his response was highly appropriate!
Me too. You know, about 90% of the time when everyone's talking about how snarky he is, I'm thinking "yeah, but he's right." haha I have a low patience tolerance apparently. ![]()

Oh I've got several imports planned! ![]()
Funnily enough, no Morrigan and no Merrill romances though. I did romance Merrill once, but got only halfway through it. Not because of Merrill, but because I'd played the game umpteen times by that point.

Mm I'd say it's more 60% of the time for me
He can be pretty jaded (or I should say, he can come off as pretty jaded). In that response though I thought he wasn't being snarky at all... the teenagery voice would be a major turn off for me and I probably wouldn't even respond lol

Well since he wrote her in DAO, and she's looking like she has a pretty important role in DAI - it could have been her he had to rewrite for some reason relating to this role, maybe? Just throwing it out there. Mere speculation - nothing more.
See, that's what I'm hoping for. DA:O played it pretty well with the friendship system. But since Cullen might not be a companion, I'm getting skeptical.
Well, if they have companion quests for the advisors, I'm sure just having a high affinity with them will give you more "play time" with them. I wouldn't see why you'd need to be in a romance for that. (just for the romance scenes
)

@femshep_com: @AbilityDrain It's not been confirmed yet, but that is the main consensus.

Oh I see
I'm sure he wrote her, too. But he stated that he wrote two romances, so we're just trying to figure out who those characters would be. So... okay, perhaps Morrigan is the rewrite. Who's the other romance I wonder?
