So I found this in the Dorian thread:

Desrciption of the demo from someone who watched it.

Spoiler

http://icetigris.tum...-talk-and-go-to

So Dorian wasn't necessary to the plot, as suspected.
Kind of worried of Sera and IB, but I still think it's more likely that they're knocked out, or that the particular situation in the quest might affect their 'deaths'.
Leliana really suffered from that experience though :(.

Can someone tweet one of the devs a question for me please? (not on twitter and frankly way too much of a coward to try  ).

Its, are mage staves back to only being ranged weapons ala DA:O or are the ranged and melee like DA2? thanks in advance, to whoever helps me out  :D .

Done. :) we'll see! Also, anytime a Dev or anyone associated with DA as tweeted me anything, they've been super nice! No need to feel kinda nervous or anything about it. I hated Twitter about a year and few odd months ago but now I check it way ore than Facebook. It really is a legit awesome way to connect with people (and to stalk devs) kidding! My feed is so packed I usually don't see a dev's tweets until it is retweeted by someone else. :P

I guess it could go either way. Perhaps what happened to Leliana is a result of our Inquisition not being prepared?

I'm not gonna lie, the thought of playing DAI sounds so complex that I'm actually kinda nervous... in a good way! I suspect my first go around is gonna be utter carnage!

You know, usually in BioWare games, when you calm down a bit before making A Really Important Decision, step away from your monitor for ten minutes, and think about everything, it kind of becomes obvious what consequences each option may have, and you just need to weight the risks in your mind, and pick the one you think is the best. DAO had a lot of these, like picking the King of Orzammar: one if alright, but he says he will petition somebody blah-blah-blah to maybe help the Grey Wardens, and the other one is a terrible person, but he says, sure, I'll give you help (and make the casteless live better!). So it depends on what is the most important for you right now. Also, in ME2, during suicidal mission NPCs were practically volunteering to do things they were good at, and if they are loyal, and you listen to them, everything will be ok.
So this is what I think I'll be doing: listening to what my team suggests before sending them on dangerous missions, or not sending, if I think we are not ready.
And no way I will let Cullen go anywhere alone! If he asks, I'll slap him.  B)

Right now, I think I'll probably be reacting the same as Leliana to Dorian. I like this bitter Leliana.

I wonder if the exact same thing would happen to Scribbles or Cullen if you sent them in place of Leliana, or if there would be a different outcome...

I can easily see Cullen reacting in more or less the same fashion, with just minor changes to cutscenes and less neck snapping. As for Scribbles, I don't think she'll be able to be sent. I think she will only be sent into non-dangerous places. Or rather, places ypu can manoeuvre without a combat situation. So like an Orlesian Ball, the choice might be to send either Leliana or Scribbles, or at a peace talks either Cullen or Scribbles.

I understand her reaction, but I don't see what Dorian did wrong.

I hope the outcomes will be different. Though I should point out that we might not even get the quest in this way based on our possible choices. It seems from what I've read that the Inquisition might've supported mages in this playthrough. Supporting templars (hopefully) or a neutral approach might give us a different quest.
Though from what is said on the hinterlands, I doubt that supporting templars will give us a better situation.

Not sure on that. She might be a mage.

Yes! I conquer! Not that I find Cullen's particularly grotesque, but I have also always held a fondness for such things. And Masquerade masks like these.....

*snip*

Yeah know, not the pretty sparkle things  ;)

Grotesque is just how helmets with faces of animals/dragons/demons/people are called in general :) You can google them, they are so cool!

Cullen is cool. Cullen the Great! (will be if he earns that!) Now I want to see him on the horse, please.

Ooooo I will do that, and fantastic piece of art there, as always  ^_^

I think we can all finally sleep. No more getting up at 5 am to watch 10 mins of demo time for me

You know, now that I'm 33 I literally still have some clothes that I wore when I was 20 and 21.  NIcer ones that are still in decent shape, but also some t-shirts that apparently weren't completely crap quality!

Oh good, I'm adulting correctly

That's interesting! The last bit is wrong though, it's Dorian who tells the Inquisitor not to move or they all die, I remember that part distinctly from the interview demo thingy because he grabs her by the shoulder and pulls her back.

Leliana sounds like she's a lot emotionally harder than she used to be. I think I'll definitely be sending Cullen into that one since he's already a hard bastard, LOL! Plus, if I end up getting him killed or ruining him then I'll just reload.

I plan on trying to walk behind Cullen when ever I get the chance to take him out and show him off

If I can, I'll send Morrigan, cause she don't take sh*t from no magisters. If not, I'll send someone I don't care about :P

Sent someone spying creepy Tevinter magister.. umm volunteers? Anyone? XD Sound like hard decision to make! I think Skye would ask volunteer and Tamarin would just sent someone he doesn't care about XD

I am still wondering how sending them (Cullen, Leliana) truly effects how they feel about you as you play. If i say send Cullen on multiple missions like this because he seems the better option....will this effect my being able to romance him. I don't want him to hate me because he gets a little bit tortured (okay maybe a lot) I will need so many saves of this game just so i can go back 20 hours in game play to correct my mistakes  :P

So I'm curious, what is everyone's stance on Cullen's helm? Do you love it, or hate it? Or are you just wondering why he is wearing it?

Spoiler

Honestly, I'd need to know why he's wearing it first. I like the aesthetic, it's neat, but at the moment I don't really care.
