That council table shot may be the first-ever screen cap of non-derpy Dorian!
I swear that table gets bigger and smaller in every picture!

Hehehe.
If I can, I'll send Morrigan, cause she don't take sh*t from no magisters. If not, I'll send someone I don't care about
Hmm I dunno about that; Morrigan's liable to be all, Wow, Alexius, great plan! *joins in the chaos* ![]()

She may be evil, but she's not that evil :3
Agreed. And even then it may not be 100% correct when it is finally released. I have the Mass Effect 3 strategy guide and it says that Kaidan can only be romanced by female Shepards.
Ummmmm...no.
Wow, really? May not bother wasting my money on a guide then
Since that's kind of the one reason I'd really buy the guide LOL!
Going through the last few pages of this thread I just realized how different people play roleplaying games. Or at least how different they play Dragon Age. Never thought of that before. I, for instance, don't plan ahead. I want to play a female human mage but that's about it. Furthermore, I am interested in hooking my mage up with Cullen but when it turns out that he has changed for the worse, she might not be interested in him at all. So, I basically make it up as I go along and react to the way other characters treat me. Also, I want to go through the game world open-minded. If I plan a character ahead it all seems so fixed. This isn't criticsm, just an observation. I never even thought about planing a whole character in advance.
That said, I don't find gender or race restrictions all that horrible. But I feel for everyone who is disappointed if the prefered romance option isn't available.

I think i have to find romance information before playing. I guess i can wait couple of days. With sexuality and race restrictions chances of my fem qunari are probaply slim and i want to know i can romance someone i like with her before playing.I dunno why they're so tight-lipped on this (except for Sera)! But Sera not being a mistake, as Gala suggested, gives me hope that they'll reveal the sexualities of all the characters before the game ships.
If they don't, I'm buying a guide, and if the guide doesn't say, I'm waiting for the wiki to update before playing the game!

I don't plan ahead too much either. I want to play an elven rogue. Ideally, I would like to check out the Cullen romance with her (Obviously.
), but if that doesn't happen, either through restrictions or my character's reactions and developments, then, I'll try again with a different play through. ![]()
My brain supplied this hilarious image of Cullen in a fuchsia velour doublet, lime green and yellow striped hose, and a floppy hat with at least 8 multi-colored ostrich plumes. I may stop giggling at some point, but it's also possible that I'll pass out from lack of oxygen before that happens.
So you basically want to see a landsknecht Cullen?
Me too!
David Gaider over on the Dorian thread:
Hmm, usually when DG hand waves something and says "It's not what you think it is" it turns out to be EXACTLY what we think it is."
Darn!

That's how I see it, too.

Wow ...
. Okay. At least you get something for your money with six playthroughs
.
What kind of errors did the DA2 guide have? I used one but didn't notice any...
David Gaider posted this in the Cassandra Thread
As for the "rage" regarding people discovering that a character on whom they'd already pinned their romantic hopes suddenly isn't available to them (either by way of gender or race, which are both possibilities in DAI) -- them's the breaks. One can either deal with their disappointment in an in-game manner (nothing like actually interacting with a character rather than thinking about them solely in the abstract), they can play as a different PC (if romancing that one character is the most important thing to their game), or they can come to the forums and complain about how them not getting that option in the game is somehow a violation of their rights or part of a larger socio-political conspiracy. It won't get them anywhere, but so long as they do it politely and are considerate of other posters, they are certainly free to vent their frustrations.
He didn't mention crying in a dark corner for days on end; I'm afraid I'm going to be doing it wrong.

How very intriguing. I actually like that kind of mechanic, and I wonder if that would extend to class as well. This being relevant to those of us wanting to see the Cullen romance.
Your smiley is confusing me as I don't see how this would be a good thing for us ![]()
Watch me lose Cullen AND Iron Bull due to gender and race restrictions, respectively.
This game... JUST TELL US ALREADY!!!!!!!!! Let me take in the depression and disappointment early so I can have a few months to get over it, accept that I'll have no one to romance, and just play the game to enjoy it as best I can.
Poor Scribbles.
She doesn't even have a name yet.
You know, I thought she looked a bit like Traynor, so when I heard the female voice in the companions trailer, I thought Scribbles was narrating. And people were like, "Oooh, Femquisitor! Awesome!" And I was like, "Where did you hear her???" ![]()
Yeah, poor girl is the most mysterious person in the Inquisition. We, Cullenites, at least know who Cullen was before, and his name.
BTW, isn't it time for more news? Interview with a vampire about Vivienne? The super-official reveal of Dorian?
Ok, I'm back to making a gif. I think it will take a lot of effort, because focus moves.
Is it just me, or do all the companions seem much more interesting this time around?
No more or less than previous games, although keep in mind I loved the companions from both previous games, so it's just the same level of excellence in my eyes.
I will say that the least interesting to me are Dorian and Blackwall -- I've already explained Dorian, but yes, Blackwall! Okay, he is sexy, and I pray to the BW gods I can have him, but the noble warrior thing has kind of been done.

For me, restrictions breeds creativity. I know it's not like that for everyone, so I feel bad for those people, even while I'm excited for the characters that I'll be creating to see all the different possibilities. That Dragon Age Keep better work perfectly. AND there had better not being a character limit on the PS4 this time around, or I'm going to be so flipping... ticked.
This kind of thinking is so beyond me! I mean I don't need restrictions to FORCE me to make a new character; hell, I was gonna do that anyway, BW! Adding restrictions just, well, RESTRICTS me from certain paths and romances. If I wasn't going to play a male dwarf before, gating my preferred romance so only male dwarves can have him/her is not gonna make me play a stinkin' male dwarf!

Class restrictions (IE, Cullen not being interested in a mage Inquisitor, since we all know that's what I meant) wouldn't be a bad thing for *me* because...well hang on a second...
*casts cloak of protection from pitchforks*
I am not the least bit interested in romancing him as a mage.
