Yeah, sounds about right for Fenris and my Hawke.
Don't forget my Warden and Alistair, too!
Ditto this!

You know what I hate about the way they're pushing some followers and ignoring the rest? It's going to give the impression that some followers are more important, more "canon" than others. Those who prefer those who are apparently lesser lights will be treated as if they are wrong. (sigh)
I'm calling it now: Cullen shoots down the dwarven Inquisitor for being a cave-dwelling heathen.
INQUISITOR: But I don't even live in a cave!
CULLEN: Well, this Skyhold is practically a cave!
INQUISITOR: You live here too!
CULLEN: I KNOW! [BURSTS INTO TEARS]

Are you serious? They're announcing Vivienne *again*? Maker have mercy!
I'm good with the restrictions now it seems indicated that they apply to more than the protagonist's gender. If they want to create a more complex ruleset for romance initiation then I can support that. I will also probably enjoy it because I tend to have more fun when my PC cannot have the things they want. It gives me fuel for my imagination and helps me flesh out who they are. I'm a bit cruel to my characters, I enjoy their suffering BUT I don't play self inserts, so I'm probably not as emotionally invested in their stories as some.
I really dislike gender being the only gateway to the relationship. I find it to be an unnecessary complication that may cause those gamers who experience exclusion in reality avoidable distress.

How much more would people hate Cullen if BW had officially announced him three times by now, and twice in one week to boot!
Pff,the thread would probably get stormed by an army of trolls and their minions.

I agree,I'd love to learn more about Solas and Dorian, especially Solas he seems very interesting...Also call scribes by her real names would be nice for a change.
The trouble I find is that I'm growing a quite irrational dislike for the poor woman. She's described almost exactly how I wanted my Warden to be, and I think she'll be an incredible companion, but I'm sick of seeing her since we've seen so much of her compared to the others.
*sigh* impatience is making me a bad person
I'm starting to think it's some kind of social experiment. They're trying to find out how much hype it takes to turn public opinion against a previously well-liked character. If that is indeed what they're doing, they may have their answer.
Well, I better make a move. Things to do, people to see, places to go etc. Lovely chatting with you all again this morning. ![]()

Yeah, I'm reaching my saturation point on Vivienne. (Already reached it with Varric and Cass.) I think she sounds like an awesome character, but seriously, save some for the game!
I'd rather hear a smaller amount about a variety of companions than keep hearing about the same ones while others don't even have a name.
I'm complaining a lot today, wow. Need to stop that.

It's unsettling. ![]()
New Q&A on Vivienne too (with her writer, Mary Kirby):

Or maybe not so new. Anyone realize that they refer to her as "advisor to the Empress"? I thought that was Morrigan's job?

You know, I think the marketing team took things kind of in a wrong way, and by that i mean, a lot of ppl were saying that "man i wish they would show more female characters"
I think what ppl meant by that was to show more of the female PROTAGONIST not the female followers , I would also love to learn more about other companions . For me personally, if they show a character more then twice i get a bit irritated about that character and makes me hate them even more, if they push them too much down my throat like Viv and Morriagan I use to love Morrigan and Leliana but since they stuff them down my throat a lot every other day it actually make me hate them now im like... "umm ok cool, I get it. Their awesome , cool and hot... can i get someone else now please?"

It's always been Vivienne's job, but perhaps Morrigan is starting to edge her out in terms of influence as the Empress seeks the advice of a mage trained outside the Circle. Perhaps they will be at each other's throats. That would be fun.

I'm not wondering about the lore, I'm just wondering why they chose to reveal two people as magical advisors to the Empress.
It's strange is all.

I always had a feeling that these two won't get along that well, for some reason.

You have a good point. Maybe that's the thing. Still, what about Scribbles? She doesn't even have a name yet. It would be nice to see at least a little about her. I know we think they're saving those things for when they talk about the advisors, which would make sense imo, but it doesn't keep the spotlight away from Leliana, so....idk. I hate to sound like I'm complaining. The game is beautiful and the characters sound awesome, but it does seem like they are kinda playing favorites so far. I swear, sometimes I get the impression they're reluctant even say Cullen's name. Maybe I'm reading everything wrong and they will make up for it later, though.
