@chesirekat - I suppose you are right, but I was expecting full companion reveals on all the heroes (sounded like they promised that) so I am disappointed that all we got was the "cullion" (brilliant name) lol

We did get tons of info though! We got Dorians name, 2 trailers, a demo, The Cullion, and a bunch other stuff!

Hey guys,

 

In about 12 hours I'll be going in for surgery. I just wanted to say that I've loved the several months I've been apart of this thread, you are all a bunch of awesome people. Thank you to the wonderful thread mom, R2, for agreeing to PM me all the little bits of info I miss! I'll try and get online on my phone tomorrow morning prior, but in case I don't get the chance, goodbye for a little bit!

Hehe,this is pretty much what I had in mind!

 

Although I also believe  the theory that after the explosion the divine dies,which makes these three factions except perhaps Leliana's, scatter around and become more independent for a while,while they continue their efforts to complete the task they were given.

Until Cassandra and Leli decide to follow the back-up plan and reform the inquisition.Then we'll have to find them and recruit them or have Cassandra/Leli recruit them for us,although I'd prefer the first. xD
 

Although,I think that having them from the beginning is also highly possible.

 

I can see both of those scenarios as being plausible, but I doubt BioWare would be like "Oh hey, so the veil has been torn and guess what? You have to fix it. But don't stress, here have three people that are going to help you run your Inquisition with no hassle at all."  

 

So yeah, we will most likely end up having to recruit

There's an update about Vivienne on the website, apparently she throws the Inquisition a party, which (in theory) would include Cullen since he's one of the pillars.

 

Could that be the ball?!?!

Whelp. I did it. I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition Guide, as well as the Art Book.

Those will be coming to me in October with my Inquisitor's Edition. Before then, I will also be receiving my Library Edition of the comics in a couple of weeks and Last Flight in September.

On the subject of the romances...

 

I have know problem with them being preset to certain restrictions. I think it's more challenging and a bit more realistic, not to mention, forces you to go back and play as different characters, which is neat.

 

Realistic, what I mean by this is lets say, this chick totally digs this dude. But said dude isn't into girls. Happens in real life all the time and vise versa. So why not have that type of real setting in a game. Sure you can play however you want, but just like in real life you can't always get what you want.

 

Now I know it's just a game, and everyone wants everything the way they want it. But what I think Bioware is going for isn't really a game in a fantasy setting. But an actual world in a fantasy setting. And that makes it more 'real' for the players. Lots of people go to games to escape the real world. But I think it's nice that they're making this world a fantasy setting, but with real problems and with real life situations.

 

Again, that's just me....

New day.. still not happy with possible romance restrictions. Sigh, I have been bitten by negativity mosquito it seems. I just feel like I have to wait wiki to update on romance options before I can roll a playthrough now, otherwise my quizzys end up being forever alone and I have to abandon dozen of them before getting to play like I want. Well I hope Gaider was just trolling us or that only couple characters have racial restrictions like Varric and Iron Bull (that I'm not planning to romance since I'm being selfish).

How could you loathe Izzy and Fenris.  They're so cute together.  She doesn't make emotional demands on him he's uncomfortable with.  Not sure how he'd be with her shagging anyone she liked the look of but I kind of think that would be a cute problem for them to deal with and I think Izzy's a kind person underneath her bluster and would stay faithful to someone if she acknowledged the relationship and she preferred them to whoever else was on offer.  Also, she invites him aboard her ship and I think for Izzy that says a great deal about how she feels.

 

I love them so much together, that I really prefer them to a Hawke/Fenris match.  Mind you I also like Isabella much more than I like Hawke, so I may be coloured by feeling that Fenris is just showing good taste when he goes for the lovely pirate.  

 

I don't know if I'm being bad here but.. I see Fenris and Isabela's relationship as pretty light. Cute and funny but as nothing serious. I prefer Fenris with someone who is more considerate and takes care of him, I don't think Isabela is right one for him.

More I see about her.. the more I dislike her. Her character just ircs me alot, she is total opposite of what I like ^^;

 

You know what I hate about the way they're pushing some followers and ignoring the rest? It's going to give the impression that some followers are more important, more "canon" than others. Those who prefer those who are apparently lesser lights will be treated as if they are wrong. (sigh)

 

I think that they just have follower promoting plan. These first and then these. I want to hear from Dorian, Solas, Scribbles and Cole though!

I wouldn't call it challenging because there's nothing challenging about being rejected based on sexuality (or race); it's pretty much game over at that point, nothing you can do

 

I'm fine with my character being rejected, that's what characters like Varric and Aveline are for. 

 

It only gets dicey and even begins to breed jealousy when you discover some players can romance this character and you couldn't with your PC, etc. I mean I'm still kinda pissy about Alistair, and how long ago was that Hell, I'm pissed I didn't get experience the Morrigan romance!

 

Thanks to DA2's system, I had the freedom to experience all the love interests and their stories
