I've said this before, but I really want to run into those two gossiping mages from the Ferelden circle again. Have them gossiping as Cullen walks past and them be like:

Mage 1: "Is that... is that Cullen?"

Mage 2: "Cullen? ... Oh! The templar from Kinloch Hold, the creepy one?"

Mage 1: *Check him out* "What?! I would never say such a thing about him!"

Mage 2: "Are you checking him out? Ha! You're really something, *insert name*... although, I've gotta say, getting out of the circle has done wonders for him!" *Checks him out too*

Mage 1: "And he's here with the Inquisitor! He must be someone very official to be working with her/him... which means he's no longer part of the Order!"

Mage 2: *Call over to Cullen* "Coo-eee! Cullen! Over here, do you remember us!" *Preens self*

Cullen: *Looks baffled and uninterested*

Mage 1: "Oh no you don't! I saw him first!" *Tries to grab his attention*

Inquisitor: "Nice try, b!tches." *makes out with Cullen right in front of them*

Cullen is somehow related to Celene,semi-confirmed rumour...xD

Oh no, please no! I've had 2 princes before, and both dumped my girls after she refused them a blood sacrifice

@Lola, I'm dying! The final part was almost fatal, because I'm drinking tea here

Yeah, I'd like Cullen to be just a normal guy/underdog that was pulled into a series of remarkable situations and triumphed.

Also, you need to draw a picture of that gossiping mage scene, LOL!

Lika the son of an apostate killed by the templars or a random orphan left in the chantry...
Yeah,jokes aside I certainly prefer that too(drama!).

LOL, that would totally mess with his head! I do like the idea of him being a chantry orphan that was recruited into the Templars when he came of age, but I also like the idea of him being a street rat getting into all sorts of trouble until something bad happened that made him resolve to better his life and do something worth while. Or he was just a bit of a dreamer in his young teen years and craved adventure so he stupidly joined the Order thinking he'd be a Knight slaying demons and saving the day.

Another one I quite like is the idea that he came from a poor/common background, the oldest of his siblings. The family was struggling to survive so he recruited himself into the Order so that he could help provide for his family.

Is it bad I want a mabari helmet now? (A metal mabari helmet, not a real mabari helmet.)

...Have I mentioned I really, really like Ferelden? No? Let me mention it, then.

Then they could call you... The Hound!  :P

Truth be told survivors and underdogs tend to be far more interesting than characters that belong to the nobility and are just the golden sons/daughters,(unless they suddenly loose everything become the underdogs themselves and have to fight to get them back).

Ohhhh! So I see on DG's tumblr that Sera says, " I can't fly, ya DAFT TWIT!" Instead of "I can't fly, ya damned t i t!"

I found Alistair's to be interesting because although he was nobility and the heir to the throne he'd been hiding his identity for years and had been treated like an underdog right up until he was recruited into the Wardens, then promptly loses the one person that saved him. Plus, he was so down to earth and didn't want for anything (except to not be made King and the permission to understandably kill Loghain) lol.

My head canon so far is that he grew up on a farm and was raised in a super normal family with his mumma and poppa and maybe a sibling but decided that the farming life was't for him and recruited himself into the order.............bet her regrets that now after all the sh!t that's gone down :P

Boring I know, but I just want him to have SOME normalcy

I meant I second this as in for Gala to draw that scene! Lol. Go, Gala, Go! :P Sorry I fail on mobile. I try to erase what I'm not referring to in a quote but I forgot just then and sometimes I'm a hurry. :D

Is it just more or did anyone else enjoy this interview more then the E3 ones? I'm not talking about just the Cullen stuff, which hey loved hearing about that and the swooning and kiss scenes...ahem...

But we did get a bit more info here as well.

Completely agree. Earlier, I'd been criticizing the scope of the info we'd gleaned from E3 so far, but I think I have to rethink my complaints.  Maybe the problem wasn't the availability of the information. Maybe the real problems were the quality of the questions and the interest level of the interviewers.  I guess it makes sense that an enthusiast of the franchise would end up conducting the best interview.

It was a great interview across the board.  And the Cullen part?  Oh hell yeah.

My inquisitor requires a unicorn helmet. Sassy, stylish and with the potential to "accidentally" gore irritating people.
Also useful to dry washing

What if there aren't any unicorns though? Would you make do with narwhal?

I know xD,thankfully I'm not a writer...I really got a dreamer vibe from him in origins to be honest,I also like these scenarios and I'd certainly prefer him to come from a poor/common origin rather than him being a hidden noble etc..It  worked for Alistair without making him appear gary-stuish because he was a pretty remarkable character in the first place, with flaws and personality and it was handled rather well.
And I don't doubt that Cullen could also be very interesting and have flaws and personality on his own,no matter his background, but I wouldn't like to see something similar again for originality's sake.

Well, now that you come to mention it... :P

You just reminded me of my first year in Uni. My room in halls was so small that I had to resort to drying my underwear by pinning them to my notice board.
I had a habit of forgetting they were there and getting odd looks from visitors
