Another thing I'd like to see is his feelings play out on his face and body language. Like witnessing him staring longingly at the protagonist, or hurt if she/he flirts with someone else, do his little neck rub thing when he's flustered etc.

What I'd love to see is a bit of jealousy/slip up of his feelings whilst he's trying to keep them under wraps. Like, an NPC flirts with our protagonist at a ball or whatever and you see him looking visibly annoyed/irked and says something catty or bitting at the offender, lol.

I like it when the LI's get protective, even if anyone was to be like that IRL it would make me cross. Oh well, no-one ever said I make sense

Its one of the things I liked about Fenris in particular in DA2, (I know the others did as well to an extent) I liked that he was so protective of Hawke.

 

EDIT: I played the DLC's specifically after he left in Act 2 just to get the little embarrassed conversation in Legacy, and to see him get all riled when my Hawke flirted with Tallis in MOTA.

It seemed to flow nicely to show he still cared

Yeah, he can. I zoomed in on my video editor and you can just see his jawline through the mouth as he turns to look at the people on the ground.

This would be good. One thing I have hoped to see in a game is blushing. They had it in Dragon's Dogma to signal when someone was in love with your character and I thought it was cute. I wonder if adding something like that into a game is easy or not.

So I just watched the video of that Cameron interview, And, well....asdfghjjjj...

 

Seriously, I may have actually squeed.  And I'm absolutely not the squeeing type. And I agree with everyone who hopes his romance will have some challenges to it. I can certainly do without excessive angst, but would appreciate some complexity - like ideally, Cullen and my pro-mage character don't quite along at first but eventually come to respect and then care for each other.  Like I loved the debates Hawke got to have with him in DA2.

 

An another note, this game sounds very complicated.  I'm excited, but a bit nervous.  I imagine my first playthrough I'll be like a blind person running around with scissors

I introduced myself here a couple days back but as it was my first post and by the time it got approved it got lost twenty pages back.  This thread is a monster!

I had only just started playing the game when I stumbled over these articles when looking to find out more about the romance content. Put me right off accidental jesters and small children would not have been my ideal ending.
