The Dwarves traded through the Chantry and the Chantry controlled the lyrium supply, so I guess it depends if the Dwarves felt it more profitable to continue trading through the Chantry, or felt they could charge more to the desperate rebel Templars running the risk of going into lyrium withdrawal... I suspect I know what they'd choose, LOL!

It could be that Cullen is the one struggling to get his regular lyrium fix... not to worry though, my Inquisitor is a mage so he can use hers.

The dwarves trade to anyone with the gold. Tevinter, Chantry, renegade Templars, as long as you have coin, they'll be your friends.

I've always thought that the dwarves are the most capitalist people in Thedas.

Oh the Dwarf's would totally stick with trading with the Chantry, they are loyal like that and not at all concerned with how much more gold they could be getting................ right  :P

Just as long as he never touches that red sh!t I think I will be fine............... I'm almost feel like I'm saying "Oh, you can keep smoking the pot all the time just as long as you stay away from the heroine."  :D

LOL!

It makes me wonder what would happen if we sent Cullen in to deal with that Tervinter magister instead of Leliana. Will the character we send in get captured regardless? Perhaps the only part that plays out differently is when we're under attack whilst fiddling with that necklace? In that scene Leliana was clearly chained to a piece of red lyrium, so what would happen if it was Cullen? Given that he's more susceptible to lyrium than most because he takes the normal stuff so often.

Exactly, they'd totally keep selling to the rebel templars, lol!

Uh huh, along with a free flyer inscribed with the words "Caveat Emptor".

What I wonder, is if the Dwarves had been selling red lyrium and that's why some end up as red templars, or if the templars in question happened to stumble upon it themselves? It's seems that the red templars are entirely separate from the rebel and Divine loyal ones.

YES YES YES! This is what I have been wondering, would said person still end up getting captured regardless of who you sent in? Or would it all completely play out differently? If we sent Cullen, would he get captured as Leli had, or would he be more successful because he can silence/drain the mages of their powers. Or would he get captured and tortured and have it not effect him as much as it did Leli because he had been trained on how to handle such situations when it comes to mages. Or would he go off the rails just as much as Leli had?

SO MANY QUESTIONS?!

EDIT: Maybe the red lyrium would call to him more strongly then it would others because he would be susceptible to it with him already having/had a lyrium addiction.

At the very least we've been told they'll react differently. Leliana will (for example) become less trusting and build an anger towards mages. But, I have the hopes for something greater. Anyhoo, WHO ELSE IS GOING TO SEND CULLEN INTO LIKE EVERY SITUATION JUST SO WE CAN SEE HIM ALL THE TIME? If the answer is no one, well, me neither, that would be... crazy. Obsessive...

Hahaha I'm going to try my hardest not to favor him and send the person that would be more befitting the mission, which will be hard cos I'd want to see him all the time  :D

This whole advisor thing has made me wonder if Scribbles will be good for any of these :P. Her special quests will probably be, like, "Take this to the duke, see you there in a week", or something.

I can honestly see a lot of my Inquisitors choosing Leliana, even though we've been shown it ends badly for her. It just makes sense to send the spy master to, well, spy...

(Also I just want you to know I read all of your posts in Harley Quinn's voice.)

That's the one thing that worries me. I don't mind sending him in there, even if he gets captured and tortured because then I can rescue him and be like: "GET YOUR FILTHY MITTS OFF MY CULLEN, YOU BEAST!"   But what I worry about is that it might undo some of the progress he's been making when it comes to mages in general... in theory he should be fine because by now he's fully aware that not all mages are crazy bastards and let's face it he's a dab hand at surviving torture, but I'd hate for it to potentially ruin my mage Inquisitor's chances of romancing him or have to witness him being like: "Gah! Stay back, mage!!!!" All over again.

The part that wants to send my LI into dangerous situations so I can seem him at work (and kiss his wounds after) seems like its going to be conflicting a lot with the part of me that wants to shelter him (or pick the best guy for the job). I remember, in ME2, I tried my best not to pick the perfect team all the time so I could hear all that amazing alternate voice work. I failed :P.

I also could never sacrifice Kaidan, and took him on like every mission because he's so amazing as an LI.

I wonder if addiction could also, possibly, refer to Varric if Hawke let him keep that shard of the idol. My Hawke sure as hell didn't let him keep it, but I wonder what might happen to Varric if he DID keep it.

I wondered that too. In the demo we're actually seen collecting bloody red lyrium shards, so I wonder if at some point we're gonna use them for something and be like "damn, we're one short" and Varric's like "it's cool, I've got this one that Hawke gave me!" or if he's gonna be like "Mine! My precious... you can't have the shiny! Mine lyrium mine!!!" *Twitches*

I hope her voice ain't grating too much on your nerve's there, puddin'  :P

I think I'd probably send Leli a lot as well, I'm really intersted inseeing the bard side of her since we didn't get to see much of that in DAO

Lol by the sounds of it, letter writing is much more her style rather than going out in the field.

...Now I sort of really want to see red lyrium affect the Inquisitor. (Because wishing horrible things on my Inquisitor has apparently turned into my new hobby.)

Man, though, collecting red lyrium is definitely concerning! And... I sort of imagine Varric turning into Biblo with the ring, which is why I didn't let him keep it.

Same! Straight away when he wanted to keep it you could see it was having some effect on him and I was like "yoink!" And took it to Sandal... then I got rid of it, just to be on the safe side!

Apparently Dorian asks what the shards are and then tells you to keep them because they could be useful. I'd be like NOPE! Maybe red lyrium doesn't effect us because of the glow stick hand? (And cos we're a special snowflake!)

Anyone who denies my special snowflake status is on my Quizzy's hit list. Scribbles keeps a record for me.

I wonder what happened to a Templar-trained Warden. Or what's going to happen to a Templar trained Inquisitor.

Ew I know right! My brother keeps trying to get me to read Suicide Squad but I can't do it. I Iove the old her! Seriously, "don't you wanna reeve up your Harley? Broom, broom," it makes me weep to see Harley 52  :crying:

And I hate seeing her without the Joker, even though they were apart more than together they are still my OTP

If he goes all mage hate again I'm kind of hoping there is a renegade option to punch some sense into him ( I may also still be smarting for yelling at my Warden when he was in the pink dome, even if he did have a legit reason to)

... What have they done to her in the DC reboot??

I will post a pic of her under a spoiler
