Ok, I'll tell you how I know his DAI model is based on late 20's to early 30's. It's fine for me to talk about it now since Cameron Lee mentioned it in the interview with MD anyway.
So basically, last year when I went to see that first demo in London (the one they showed at PAX Prime a few days later) I met up with Cameron there and because I was already under an NDA I was allowed to ask a bunch of questions. Obviously I can't tell you anything that hasn't already been revealed, but in regards to Cullen's face model I asked him if they'd made Cullen hot and to make sure that they fixed his face if they'd hit him with the ugly stick, which is when he told me about a piece of concept art they'd come up with for Cullen that made him look really old and beat up, I guess kinda like Zaeed from Mass Effect. Of course, this outraged a bunch of his fans working in the BioWare offices, so they had to go back to the artists with some examples of men within Cullen's age group late 20's to mid 30's at a push (his words, not mine), his DA2 model and a bunch of other ideas to make him look how he's supposed to. What we'll see from Cullen in DAI is the result of that.
It makes sense for him age wise, still...
...I personally found Zaeed really attractive. ![]()

Yea? I wonder why they made him look really old and beat up (Zaeed was hot as falk so I really wouldn't have minded tbh)

Based on his previous experiences, I guess. Being tortured, going through hell for years I guess the artists just envisioned him being a lot older than he was, lol.

Really, the important thing about that, though, is finding out there's Cullenites around the offices! ![]()

But anyway, that's why I've been so insistent that he's in his mid-20's to early 30's, lol.

But, it seems as though he's sporting a scar through his lip, so he has gotten a little beaten up.

And what an attractive scar it is!
Actually all the characters with new scars are wearing them damn well.

Youuuuuu sneaky little sh*t...
I hope the character reveals are still fun for you though, even though you've known about them for a good while now. I'm really going to miss this 'before the game comes out' excitement, thank goodness I'll have the actual game to console me!

Ah yes yes, I didn't doubt you, it's just that I really didn't know, so I just assumed. Thanks for the info Lola!

I'm 22 so thirties is older for me lol. Luckily I tend to RP older characters anyway. I'm going to headcannon that my bearded Inquisitor is in his fourties. ![]()

LOL! It's cool, I don't know any of their storylines beyond what's been revealed so far, I've been careful not to spoil myself for anything like that.

When someone asks me my age, I still go to say eleven. Bloody French lessons, ingraining that knee jerk response!

Most of my characters tend to be around thirties, unless we're practically given an age or it's strongly hinted. I do hope the age for the Inquisitor is ambiguous, though, because I have ideas for Inquisitors in their twenties and thirties and potentially forty. ![]()

I'll agree though, looking at his picture straight from the framed war room shot he looks older but I promise you it's the light and shadows playing on his face... like if you put a torch under your face it makes it look like you've got epic bags under your eyes, LOL!
Also, bare in mind that the picture I took really doesn't do him any justice at all. He's a lot prettier than that if you could see the picture face on.

Yup, if i'm going to RP a character in his/her fourties, I don't want to have parents who look like they're in their early fifties again.
Reminds me of the OC. 25 year olds playing teenagers and 35 year olds playing their parents.

Or Dawson's Creek, I swear they were all in their 40's!

Well, where I took the photo his face got pushed out of shape a little.
He's just a lot more badass really, lol.
*Edit* For example, he has a slight ape-ish look about him in the second-hand photo I took, but in the actual framed picture he doesn't.

And here I already thought he looked pretty even under the harsh lighting. :') and also in the last supper photo. can't wait to see him in the cinematics. *sigh*

I can't really tell tbh. I think he looks angrier than usual, but I think that's a good look for him.
