I still need to play the Witcher, at least to see what the fuss is about. XD

 

 

I'm also looking for a new game to play but I have no interest in the Witcher. Now, if Witcher had a female PC I'd be all over it, but I have no interest in playing another game where I'm forced to be a guy (and a specific, uncustomizable guy to boot).

Yeah, I'm not sure why people aren't naturally coming to this conclusion. It's a weird helmet to signify he's still an important guy, because most important guys don't wear helmets, at least not one that conceals their face, and it's a lion because that's the symbol of the military branch.

Perhaps he's come to the conclusion that because he's important it'd be important to not get his eyes gouged out because of a lack of helmet.

OT: Any games to suggest? I'm in gamer hell, I have nothing to play!

 

No, seriously, I've played everything, suggest something on PS3 or Xbox360. XD Something with a good story.

 

If you still want recommendations here is couple:

 

Deus Ex: Human Revolution: scifi FPS, close to ME but not lol.

Heavy Rain: Thriller, if you like those this is nice. Story is pretty captivating.

Valkyria Chronicles is pretty nice as well for strategy war game.

Okay so just tried Destiny (husband got into alpha) ya if you like crazy non-stop OMG heart pounding situations totally get that game when it comes out

Do we think we will get any more news tomorrow? This waiting to find out new things is so hard. I wanna know more of the advisors and what they do (mostly because Cullen is one of them)

oooh, games? DE:HR was a great game. I enjoyed it. it's like enjoying a caramel candy. slowly. no guns blazin' not really, or you will get killed like a lil punk. yes. true story. alot fun stealth and smart gameplay. def recommend.

 

Wolfenstein-New Order: I friggin' loved that game. Action heavy, but it balances out and gets a rhythm after you get to your rebels hideout. It surprised me. I wasn't expecting to love the npc's as much as I did. Great cast. Srsly, I fell in love with the characters. *Save Matt....um, when the time comes--save Matt*. Lots of shooting but man is it fun. (and the PC is voiced by Brian Bloom--Varric)

 

Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag: I was highly skeptical of a pirate game cuz so much can go wrong. lol! But dayum it turned out to be one of, if not my fave game of the AC series. Alot of naval combat, but it's extremely satisfying and the mechanics are quite intuitive. The ship is like your Normandy. Great characters! And a sense of freedom and exploration like you would not believe! (and a small appearance by Garrus' voice actor. complete w/"calibration jokes. yes, true story).

 

Saint's Row 2 is my fav game from that series. Tho it's a weee bit dated graphically, but full open world exploration and destructible; fully customizable PC--male/female, body size, walk, voice, etc. Customizable "Cribs"--all that stuff. Tons of fun and actually has a decent story in there. (Much more so than the later games SR3 and SR4--although they were fun, too. I enjoyed them, but....they were missing--something).

idk, sometimes when they say things like follower reveals or companion reveals, i worry abt the advisors. although, at this point, they haven't even revealed all the companions. Dorian was only "revealed" by a passing comment during a gameplay demo.

 

when they said they were gonna reveal companions at E3--i thought there was gonna be....more...dramatic. or just more of a unified presentation type of thing. like a high res screenie; char. profile blurb; class/skill sets highlighted and all in one unified presentation package. *had fingers crossed for LI status and orientations--but wasn't sure abt that*.

Well,  you can see it loop down like it would be attaching the scabbard  here, but two things: 
1. it also loops again up and over the belt and seems thin and loose like a ribbon (and it's shiny and gold)
2. it's on the opposite side from where his scabbard is... unless one of these images is flipped.
 

 

 
So, it could still be something holding his scabbard in place... but it would have to go all the way around  his waist while doing so. Also probably would need to be a bit more tightly secured than it is in the front.

 

The gold ribbon looks like it matches the border of his draped coat thing. Until we saw it from the back, with that weird-arse knot,  I always thought it was just a cord to keep the drapery somewhat closed/close to his body so it doesn't go flapping everywhere like an open jacket.

 

Now... I'm not so sure. A part of me wants to get fashion police over the silly knot at the back.

All I can say is that after I saw Cullen in motion, with a sword, and from different angles - that ribbon is not a part of his sword belt. I suspect his scabbard just hangs in the air, because his belt is the same when he has a sword, and when he doesn't. But I'll assume that he doesn't wear the belt when he doesn't wear the sword, and then the golden ribbon keeps his red... thing, whatever that is, together. Like a sash. Lol, this red curtain he wears kind of looks like Morrigan's robes (except he wears a breastplate instead of a bra), and I find it hilarious!

@Boomshakalakalakaboom, thank you! But I'm really not happy with this one. I think I need to repaint it. I painted it years ago, when I knew nothing about digital painting, and was not very good at drawing faces and, well, anything  I like the one I sent to BioWare for the fanart contest. It didn't win anything, but they printed it, and put on their wall, and that made me really happy   That's how I knew somebody in BioWare loves Cullen

lol, this talk brought all the feels back! 

I loved Cullen's nose in DAO, but I didn't do it justice here. I should totally fix everything I don't like here now.

I wonder, who did BioWare artists use as a reference for DAI Cullen? Because my family dragged me into a cinema last weekend, and there was a teaser of something with a racoon, and one guy looked a bit Cullen-y:

That's Guardians of the Galaxy. I can't wait to see that movie.  Ah, the many faces of Chris Pratt. He went through quite the transformation for this role... Adorable.
