Lol LIKE! I'm so glad that there's more people that spent nearly the entire time running away from the Arishok. I used the figure tactic weaving through the pillars :D

Sometimes I like to pretend I'm using a strategy when I fight the Arishok. But really it's mostly DELAY TACTIC then MAGIC BLAST then SUMMON DOG then RUNRUNRUNRUNRUN and repeat.  Oh yeah, Cassandra, it is indeed very romantic.

This makes me very happy! Can't wait to see/hear her!

Tbh, I think Ferelden should just try and go in and snatch up Orlais. I mean, while they're running around chasing their tails....I would delight in that. Cackle evilly at the idea of Ferelden conquering Orlais.

Loghain would be so proud of you u.u

It's actually easier to fight the entire qunari army than fight the Arishok one on one!

Indeed. Expecially as a Berseker/Reaver. The Arishok negated every advantage you have .
If you fight him with the rest of the qunari on Nightmare while Merrill cast Tempest, you can kill him very easily.

Well, Ferelden is still recovering from the Blight. And I honestly don't think they were ever military strong enough to accomplish such a feat, even in the case of the Orlesian Civil war (if anything, a possible threat might unite the Orlesians).
I think It'd take decades for Ferelden to become a major force in Thedas.

It's been ten years since the Blight. And really that'd be an even better excuse to take Orlais---sum new fertile lands. Resources. Resources. And no, Ferelden is not as militarily strong as Orlais that's why they'd have to hit while they're weak. Andraste and them did take down Tevinter.

They would never expect Ferelden to try such a thing, which would actually give Ferelden the advantage. If it was done smart and quick...I think Ferelden could lock it in before Orlais had a chance to holla stop.

Granted, I doubt DAI would let us attempt any such thing. But I would do it.

The leaked survey first mentioned Ferelden is still recovering it. Alistair said something similar in DA2 as well.
I know It'd make sense to conquer new fertile lands. Wha I'm saying is that Ferelden isn't strong enough to conquer the whole Empire (Conquering a bit wouldn't be a wise move, since Orlais would take it back when they recover) even with a weakened and divided Orlais, and that if Ferelden tried to do so the Orlesians would unite against them.

Stick Aveline in front of the bastard and let her take care of business! I always laugh when she kills him and the cut scene shows Hawke doing the deed when I well know Hawke was busy taking out Ashaad #9.

But, if Alistair is still king, or u placed him on the throne...do u think he'd invade? To me he's not the type. Anora on the other hand,..

As far as the Arishok fight...idk...it was not as intense as I would have liked. I'm not sure why. The camera angle too high? Too distant? It was something going on that reduced its impact. But I can't quite place what it was.

As mage I kited the hell outta him. As rogue I used a great deal of smoke bombs and what not. Hit and run.

Yeah, the fight isn't that difficult with all the party and the CCC possible. Though I generally do the single duel, so I'm a but screwed :P.

I doubt Alistair would. Or at least the Alistair I knew from DAO. It has been awhile. Anora..well...

Either way, I doubt that would ever come into play within DA. I was just musing.

Honestly it depends on my Hawke and his/her personality. For example...

Arishok: I challenge you, Hawke...

Nemanja Hawke: *lifts daggers* I accept.

Anya Hawke: *pulls out sword* Gladly.

Xander Hawke: IS THIS GUY OUT OF HIS MIND?! He's huge!! Guys, help!!! *runs*

In one of the interviews or demos it said you can pick who get the throne in Orlais as well. I can tell you know, it ain't gonna be Gaspard in my game!

I don't think it is going to be Gaspard in anyone's game. Or at least anyone who has read TME.

lol LIKE to both! Gawd it takes so long to catch up, this thread moves so freaking fast! I played not too long ago as a Mage, and after about a minutes of running I turned around, froze his ass in place and released every spell I could on him. He actually died pretty quickly and as you can imagine I leaped into the air and shook my butt in a victory dance  :D It was the first time I hadn't taken 10-15 minutes or more to kill him.

It's so much easier to kill him when you are a mage. When you are a mage you can just decimate him with spells, almost immediately. When playing a rogue it's just a whole lot of running, waiting for the stamina bar to fill up, and your talents to be available again. It seemed like every time I tried to attack him with my rogue, he just lifted me up on his sword, it was annoying.

Makes me think of this comic

Actually, there are a lot of people that like/respect Gaspard. Many expressed the desire of siding with him, and others were considering the two choices in an almost equal way. As myself.
It's not like Celene was shown to be that perfect.

To me, it seemed like none of them would be very fit to rule lol

I'm filling a prompt at the mo and the mage Hawke is going to have that happen to her and though she may survive it will leave her not being able to have children  :(

Why do you think that? They have flaws, but I think Celene proved to be a good ruler, and Gaspard might be.
