I don't want a romantic history too. Because we have headcanons!
Leave this part to our imaginations, please!
Also I would feel shitty about it. I've been fangirling over this templar for years, and he was screwing some girl from the city watch all that time? I would totally feel betrayed!
I'm actually hoping he's been screwing someone in the city watch, or similar, altho I don't necessarily need him to disclose to my Inquisitor. I'd hope he had a healthy love life.

Of course vagueness is cool and I don't see Cullen enter the war table room and say "hey I only laid one time in my life" !
Don't forget that when Alistair talked about his virginity, this is because our warden was damn curious.
If BW puts Cullen's romantic past as one of the possible question on the Inquisitor's dialog wheel, would you refrain to ask him ?
I'd ask. So long as he's single now then it's all good.

didn't play TW2, but this is kinda what I've been imagining. Like how you can meet up with Ser Emerick to investigate Quentin.I've been thinking, I wonder if the advisors when accompanying us somewhere will be a bit like the conpanions in The Witcher 2 in that they'd often go on ahead or meet us somewhere, then stick around a bit during the quest related to them, then bigger off and leave you to it after?

This would work for me as well. I liked that about TW2.
As far as Cullen's former love life goes... I would hope that he's at least had a few rendezvous here and there throughout game history. I would find it weird if he didn't. And I don't necessarily need it to be addressed in DA:I. My two cents. ![]()

I would interrogate him, lol! IRL, it was an important issue to me: how many partners, who, when, and can I see your med card?
I was a doctor after all.
In Cullen's case I will ask him everything I can, then reload and ask him again.
I'm too curious.

Sounds ok to me. Like you find Cullen in a military camp, tell him that you are ready to kick some butts, and then follow him and his soldiers to do it.
I also hope Cullen will be giving inspiring speeches to his soldiers. Like Alistair/Anora did in DAO. I would love to hear that.

About Cullen`s former love life i hope he had one! He deserved a little fun
but i don`t think it`s something our inquisitor needs to know.

I'd ask every question available, I'm a nosy bugger lol! All information is good information, and its different if the Inquisitor is the one asking ![]()
If he -did- just start dropping his relationship history into conversations I'd be pretty peeved though. Like, hello? Lovely inquisitor right here! ![]()
But, I think its unlikely that he'd be so open about his love life anyway ![]()

This. So much this.
Look, he's a competent man, and confident enough to be second in command in Kirkwall. Maker, I would *hope* this man would have gotten himself laid a bit (maybe even a serious relationship or two-ten years is a long time. My first marriage lasted way less than that.
). And I just hope it's not a massive huge deal in Inquisition.
But, in regards to Mellora's question, I will ask, if I'm given the option, because I, too, must know all the things. ![]()

Is there a chance that you might release a Character Creator before the release of the game? It'd be fun to see what we can do!

If given the option I will ask. I have to know everything at least in the first play through. However as much as I am loving that we will get to romance Cullen I have always viewed him as a templar. Even in DA2 he was awkward when discussing the girls at the blooming rose. I do hope he has had a relationship at some point before my Inquisitor but it would have to be explained very well at least me. Templars are not to have physical relationships so even my Inquisitor will question this if given the chance. I still want him to retain his faith in the chantry and templar order. I want to know what has changed to make him okay with having a physical relationship.
And this may not make sense lol

Well there goes my plan of cutting out three hours of tweaking and moving, and switching hairstyles, and starting the game only to realise they look awful in natural lighting and starting again ![]()

I hope they just don't address his romantic past. At all. Whether he's had experience or not. The fewer words of his finite romance budget he spends talking about previous relationships, the better, and the less he invites comparison to Alistair the better.

I think templars can have relationships, at least Aveline was married to Ser Wesley.

Yup, I'm pretty sure they're just not supposed to have relationships as recruits, or with the mages they guard. It's a bit like the guard/prisoner taboo. Falling in love with someone who you are supposed to be ready to kill at a moments notice is a biiiig problem, but SO romantic ![]()

I believe in the short story written for Aveline's past he was a templar when they met. I shall look it up!

Templars do not take a vow of chastity. And they *can* get married (I see Wesley was already mentioned), although it doesn't happen often. Whether or not Cullen had physical (and/or emotional) relationships with anyone would be apart from his faith in the Maker, and in the Order.

You are right. I just looked it up as well. Guess its the fact Wesley and Aveline are the only 2 married that I can remember.
