Nah, at game conventions you pretty much sit on your arse in a line for at least 3 hours to play a demo for 15 -30 minutes, lol

Well that is the jist of it. Of course there is lots of cosplay to look at or vendors to buy stuff from, but if you're there for a particular game, be prepared to wait (and bring a comfy pillow =P)

Yeah speaking of the whole templars and romance thing in general, I was always a bit confused about that. Sometimes it seems like it's something they can't do, especially for those raised in the chantry and stuff.
So the whole Wilmod and Keran quest about them visiting the blooming rose, was that something that was allowed or against templar protocol? I always thought it was the latter since Cullen said the bloming rose was afraid of getting shut down for serving the recruits. So...maybe just recruits aren't allowed to do the do? Because then again Aveline and Wesley were together.

Like in the Army itself, when you're in Basic Training, intimacy is outright against regulation. With anyone, in fact. The soldier is supposed to be focused on training, and physical intimacy leads to issues and problems that inherently interfere with the completion of the training. It's made worse when the soldier has some kind of intimate contact with a member of the chain of command, in fact.
Templar trainees in the Blooming Rose would be discouraged because of their youth, inexperience, lack of discipline and perhaps the chance they might lose sight of their training. That was my thought on the question, though.

It depends on the size of the convention, I can only talk for gamescom, which is HUGE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamescom)
I was there last year and the lines for certain booths (Batman, elder scroll online, battlefield etc) were going on forever. Ever so often there are little plaques on the rope telling you how long the wait is .. most lines were 3+ hours.
In the end I'm just telling you my experience and I'm sure if you're going to the smaller convention the waiting would not be so long. I always tell the person that asks me about Gamescom to still go, it is awesome and you can get some real nice goodies (if your lucky) also you can get some stuff that you can't find outside of conventions (like my Miranda shirt I bought there, which I forgot in my hotel, but they wont admit that its there ... f*ckers!)

Does he/the desire demon say that his vows won't let him directly? I can't recall. Tbh, I think they were supposed to originally be celibate and then they retconned it.

Most men, anyway, consider families once they meet someone who inspires that desire. So I figured he'd already met a woman he wished to marry and been forbidden, for whatever reason. Maybe she was a mage or some other Templar.
Regardless of the reason, though. If his vows were towards obedience, then running off to marry after being forbidden would've been an act of defiance and a breaking of his vows. Bottom line, though, we simply don't know what vows the demon meant, when she described them.

Well, I will go. But since I am writing for a German website (which is more of a hobby project), I probably won't have much time due to a busy schedule. It happened to me before, so I am speaking from experience. Two years ago I had one hour off and wanted to go and see Mass Effect 3. I had to wait in a queue for some time. That was at the press day, so the hall was quite empty. Unfortunately, not empty enough. So, when it was finally my turn to get inside the show room, sixty minutes had passed. I was right there, at the entrance. I looked at the guy who was guarding it and said: "Well, I have to leave now." And he was like: "What?!" But there was no point. I had an interview in five minutes and it takes five minutes to walk from one hall to another - if you hurry. And I didn't even bother to try it at one of the other days. Prepare for a waiting period up to three hours.
But yes, I will be there. So if anyone wants to meet, don't hesitate to contact me .
Edit: To avoid confusion, I am talking about the Gamescom in Cologne.
