Speaking of that Templar. I wonder if he will be one of the first people we meet. Considering he's probably a pillar, I'm assuming we will probably have to start up our military, political stands quite early.

I'd expect so, and certainly hope so. He's the kind of dependable character that my PC's would need to get themselves settled and set up

Give, something sentimental from his past. If he'd give a necklace like in so many fan fics, that would be a neat way to nod to the fans.

Receive, I would say giving him something Divine related if he was close to her. Or even something from Greagoir.

I'd love it if he gave a necklace. Especially if it was sparkly. Did I tell you guys how much I love sparklies?

In the romance discussion thread, it's just been asked about the LI getting/giving a piece of jewellery when in a relationship. What do you all think Cullen would get/give? 

I'm not big on jewelry. I'd hope for something practical and/or sentimental.

I'd quite like a weapon. I like weapons. Particularly if they contain sparklies. Each LI could have their own colour gem, like birthstones

I always thought the gift mechanic was kind of awkward (aside from the DAO "buying love" problems, there's also the fact that your companions are out there with you when you looted the stuff and I'd imagine they sort of have a claim to it anyway), but since everybody gets a ring regardless I loved picking a sentimental one for my characters' LIs. (Which I'm a little embarassed to admit.) I forget what Alistair got, I want to say just a gold one that didn't do anything if those existed in DAO? And Sebastian got the Hawke Family Crest one.

Another reason to hope we can customize advisors' armor and equipment, I guess.

I know  ! Hawke`s key, the Couslands sword and shield and the staff of Parlathan comes to my mind (although with  the staff of Parlathan i wanted the level up more because of the aesthetics than for sentimental value  ​ - i just loved that staff).

Alistair got the locket he thought he threw at the gates (and smashed) as he was being carted away to the Chantry lol I always suspected it was a replica. (I think the description hints as much).

 

Zevran gets a pair of boots and also some gloves; the gloves remind him of his mother. It's sweet.

 

I liked Fenris' gifts ... the book of Shartan, which you can help him read and the sword (such a Fen gift lol). 

 

Anders' Tevinter Chantry amulet was a shock to me b/c I didn't realize what I was giving him. I wouldn't have given him anything from Tevinter if I knew what that damn thing was lol

 

Isabela's Ship in a Bottle was kind of stupid.

 

Merrill's ring you find lying around Sundermount is kind of odd; like one of the other elves just dropped it there or something?

 

I can't think what I'd want Cullen to give my inquisitor. A gift has to be generic enough that appeals to all our characters, and I can't think of anything. I would, however, like to give him perhaps a prayer book, a weapon, or some armor.

I didn't think anyone still loved Jacob after ME3

 

Because he cheats on FemShep? I have a BroShep so he was just my Shep's buddy. It was a happy reunion! I was disappointed when he just disappeared though. Of course I played ME3 first, so I was excited to get to meet this Jacob, and then he just shows up later in the hospital, standing around... lame.
