He dresses like he's part of it, LOL!

... I've always imagined him to be a bit of a nomad loner or something, likes meditating on mountains and studying Fade... stuff.

I agree. And the fact that we have no rebel templars might imply that we'll get no rebel mage.

On this topic, do you think it's possible that as in the Redcliffe mage choice venatori come in, in the templar choice RT might come in?

That's an interesting possibility! I'm very curious to see what the differences are based on the options we picked prior to that moment, especially in regards to how that situation inside the castle plays out. Does the character sent in always end up captured and tortured? Will Alexius' son always get killed regardless of who's in there with you?

Stopping both sides will just make the war begin again... as, I suspect, siding with the templars would eventually.

I think war might come in all the outcomes, including the mage one.
And as i said, I don't think the Redcliffe choice will end the was in general.

I would support the mages regardless, myself.  The only way I could see taking a more neutral stance is if both sides agree to reform.  The old status quo didn't work, and putting it back will just lead to the whole mess starting all over again.  And it just seems like siding with the templars is also taking the stance that the Circle should be even more strictly regulated - and what does that mean, exactly?  Executing mages when they are only suspected of blood magic?  Tranquilizing them?  Hell, even that was happening before - what could be worse?  I don't even see Cullen supporting that.

As far how your decision affects your romance with Cullen - it's so hard to say.  It sounds like this decision is one of many in the game, and how the characters interact with us is based on game events - not just on one game event.

Unfortunate, but it would have been acceptable if we didn't have a traitor mage nailed to the party.

I wonder about that too... It sounds about like the way the suicide mission was handled in Mass Effect - you need to figure out who's the best for the job in order to get the 'best' outcome.  If so then, my first playthrough is going to be such a mess...

Here ya go, Gala! It's slightly blurry but you can see it's the Inquisition insignia:

Image1_zps8c994cd2.jpg

Interesting. I don't know if it really means anything, because the Demo!Quisitor wears some high-level armor, and in reality we will probably start in rags. And previously they replaced our team War Table with Cass and her helmets. But it kind of makes sense! Cassandra says "our soldiers", but the only soldiers Chantry ever had were the templars, who broke away. And Seekers did that too. Maybe the Inquisition was actually founded secretly after Lambert's letter was delivered? And after the Big Boom it just came out of the shadows, and we were made its leader?

If the Templars are to reform, or still need to be around then I'd be inclined to put Cullen in charge. It's easier to talk one person over and get them to make big changes/do what you say, than a whole army of rebel Templars that have spent gawd knows how long trying to kill the mages up in the Hinterlands, lol.

Given a choice I'd just get rid of all the Templars, give the mages the freedom they want and see how they fair. I'm sure there's some other way to ensure the mages don't all run around getting possessed by demons, like the mage college in Skyrim, they could learn how to control their gift without being kept locked in a circle for their entire lives... it'll be like regular college in real life, but with magic!

That's true. I'd prefer it if that was just a design oversight in the demo. I wanna be there when Cassandra starts coming up with plans to form the Inquisition.

Well, Cameron said in one of the articles that the Inquisition was always the Divine's plan B, so when she dies and the Chantry want to go off and argue about electing a new one instead of taking action, Cassandra decides to put plans into action. Makes me wonder if the Divine actually gave Leliana, Cullen and Scribbles their own factions so that if sh!t did hit the fan (which it does) plan B has a good solid foundation to build up from in the form of Cassandra and the 3 pillars. Our protagonist is obviously just a happy accident that ends up taking the position of leader due to the situation we find ourselves in after popping out of the Fade.

So is it a semi-confirmed rumor that everyone from Asunder will die, except Cole?

I dunno about everyone. The leader of the mage faction was Fiona, right? Or was it Rhys?

Fiona; Rhys was head of the Aequitarians.

Yes.  Partially because I have a totally selfish desire to be able to go find or help recruit Culllen myself.  Because it gives him that much more opportunity for a really badass intro scene  :)

And yeah, I'm with you on the whole college of Magi thing.  I never played Skyrim, but i see a reformed Circle as a sort of mandatory boarding school and if the Templars stay there in any capacity it would just be to make sure there's some non-magical oversight to everything. I don't think the Chantry should be involved at all - all that 'and he will be named maleficar' nonsense is, in my opinion, what created the culture of fear that started this mess in the first place.

So it'll be Fiona who dies... if Cameron Lee got it right, lol. They've said a few different things now that kinda cancel each other out.

Yup, I'm quote excited to see how it'll turn out.

I disagree on traitor. Vivienne has no obligation to join the mage rebellion. She has her values and her views (and She fought hard of be in a position of power, since before her the official court Enchanter didn't hate any power), I don't see why she has to give them up.
Beside, she seems to have an hidden agenda. We'll see what it'll be about.

Mostly. Fiona is almost sure to die, but I think Rhys' death not be the reason that lead Cole to join us.

Cameron just said 'leader' though. It's possible that someone else took Fiona's position between Asunder and DAI, but I don't think so.

Ok, I love the interview!

Can I please play the game now, lol

But seriously, it looks like we can accept templars or mages into our Inquisition? Aww, I want both. I understand why templars do what they do, and why mages do what they do, and what they want, and I don't want to fight either of them! Can I just start a Hogwarts? Kinlochwarts.

See, that's something I don't fully understand. If it's Cassandra that formed the Inquisition based off of the Divine's plan B then how is it that the Inquisitor is supposedly the founder? I mean, I know we are the leader of the Inquisition, but it's Cassandra's thing.

This is also confounding me. I can't help but think that perhaps initially we're just a figurehead because of our fancy magic hand. Then perhaps later, once we earn Cassandra's trust, we are the leader in earnest?

Interesting. I don't know if it really means anything, because the Demo!Quisitor wears some high-level armor, and in reality we will probably start in rags. In Cassandra's character blurb and in World of Thedas they make a point of saying that some Seekers, like Cassandra, and templars are still loyal to the Chantry. So I've been figuring that her "soldiers" are just those, at least to begin with.

Hey, thanks, guys! I feel silly for promising it sooner (since it's been done for more than a year now *cough*), but the prospect of more JerHopp art is I think worth the wait (IMHO)! :D
