Actually, the premise for Darkspawn Chronicles is "What If". It's a what if no one survived the Joining and Alistair was the only Grey Warden left after Ostagar. I've played through it once, and I had to laugh at some of the decisions Alistair made. Yes, Uldred still did his thing and Alistair sides with the templars. It's why Gregor and Cullen are in the Market Place.

Yeah, I remember now. Alistair did all the wrong choices. I think he recruited gollems and werewolves? Killed all the mages too. Obviously slept with Morrigan, and married Anora, which is not too bad, it's just not what you expect of him I guess being the only Grey Warden hardened him more than our little Goldanna talk I remember the first time I was playing it, I didn't hesitate to kill him, just because I thought he was a monster 

 

Today is my birthday and I am feeling generous, so I am directing some positive mojos out to you all...and the devs for some tidbits today......

You know, he's awfully nice! I was roleplaying like they didn't talk before, and asked him who he was, and he introduced himself, and started chatting with my Cled like they are best friends He was so trusting, so innocent. I feel so bad for him, because I know what's coming. I'm still surprised Cullen didn't break completely after what Uldred did, because he really trusted mages. Anders mocks him in DAII, because he can't believe a templar could really feel that way about mages, but Cullen did.

Like in DA2 where he says that Meredith commends/thanks Hawke for his/her help and quick thinking. You can get Hawke to say something like "Meredith said that? She doesn't strike me as the thanking sort" and Cullen replies with something like "Well, those weren't her precise words, but they still deserve to be said." 

 

I love that part, just because he sorta pauses/stammers as if he's recalling what Meredith actually said, which likely wasn't particular polite, LOL!

lol, Cullen is so polite! How did he curse in DAO, in those audio files? It was something really silly and not offensive, but I forgot the exact word he used. It reminds me of that Soviet joke, when a bully urges a little pioneer to say something dirty, and poor kid closes his eyes, blushes like beet root, and says, "A bra!"

Do you think they flog little templars for swearing? Or make them eat soap?

I am wondering if the male Hawke not tilting his head in the line, 'You shouldn't have been alone with him', like female Hawke does is really an indication that there was some attraction between them, mutual or just from fem Hawke. Because it clearly isn't a generic animation.

Which makes me wonder if they were planning to put him in as an npc romance then but backed out.
