I'm feeling the need to read some Cullen-centric fanfic... Can you share links to your favorites? Any rating, so long as it's well written. And now I know I've become obsessed with this fandom - I may even pen my own and I haven't done that for years.

As has been mentioned there's lots of fic linked in the OP from our thread celebrations (lots of awesome stuff; check it out!), and some additional ones linked in the old thread OP. Folks often recommend Crisium's Cullen/Amell series. I usually write Cullen/Hawke (with a brief, obligatory shoutout to my lovechild, Knight's Bloom). Gala has a great Cullen/Amell comic, Obsession. 

 

Defira1985 has some nice Cullen stuff. I've particularly enjoyed Yes Knight Captain recently by prose_wanderer (ahem, both links NSFW).

Hm, so his lion helmet could actually be significant. I think I'd laugh if it turned out he was from Orlesian nobility.

Well, the symbol of Orlais is an actual lion. It's even on their flag.

 

If Cullen was son of Emile Deveraux (Lion of Orlais, Golden Prince), who died at the hands of him lover. It´s possible that his mother escaped from Orlais.

gotta love Germany man, 3 am walked by my self got a pizza 2 beers and a vodka redbull to go and no worries at all also watched the match for USA and Portugal in a bar lol cant wait for the BIG mathch  Germany and USA.. hate to be a party pooper for the USA but i kinda got the feeling that Germany will stomp America...

Realistically, I doubt Cullen's helmet has anything to do with Orlais. It's more likely it's just something they choose for the military branch, because lions. 'Nuff said. Like how every Kindergarten soccer team are the  Panthers or the Warriors.

Yep, and this would keep you guys' bi-national households happy If only the mage/templar situation could be solved with a football match. Now I'm wondering who would play on what position... Cullen a defensive mid, possibly team captain for the templars.

Oh my god. This armor is so tasteless and ugly! Cullen is obviously not related to the owner, just because he knows how to dress with style Was that monstrosity in a DLC? I'm glad I played as a mage and didn't see it.
First thing I don't like about Cullen's armor is the curtain he wrapped himself into, but it gives me Scarlett O'Hara feels, so I can tolerate it It's pretty, and it looks good on him, but it's too impractical. If he tries to fight in it, it will untangle and he will stumble on it and die from an enemy sword. The second thing I don't like is the lack of a gambeson (a defensive jacket) under his breastplate. He gets one hit on that armor - he breaks a rib or too. And dies. I don't want Cullen to die
