The thing i remember the most from my interactions with Cullen -

Cullen (to mage!Hawke): they are not people like me and you!

I cackled.

Yeah, I smiled, too, even though my Hawke wanted to put her staff through his face.  Oh, gosh, I hope there's a joke about that somewhere in DAI.

Sadly, I think it was confirmed a while back they are not returning. Which certainly explains why in Inquisition, your armour can and will get damaged.

Oh too bad. I think Wade would fit to Orlais really well XD

Well I think there is possibility Varric mentions something cause he was around ^^ Lol it'd be funny to have him tease Cullen over his obliviousness in DA2.

Actually I think Wade would hate Orlais. Wade's ideal location is in a secluded woods where he can spend months working on a single piece of perfect armor and not have to be harassed by Herren about mundane issues like "selling things" and "eating" and "it's my job to keep a roof over our heads you self-obsessed wannabe artist!"

I wonder if in DA:I they'll keep the whole 'Cullen being oblivious thing' like:

Cullen: Hey, Inquisitor, if I may inquire, what is that staff for?

Mage!Inquisitor: Why, to better beat you with, my dear!

*cough* Sorry Red Riding Hood moment there.....

Would probably be more like:

Cullen: Hey, Inquisitor, if I may inquire, what is that staff for?

Mage!Inquisitor: .....Are you serious?

Cullen: *clueless* Why, yes, I was curious as you do not seem to have any physical ailments.

Mage!Inquisitor: Uh....because I'm a mage?

Cullen: Oh....Wait, you're a MAGE?!

Mage!Inquisitor: ....You have seen me throw spells before, right?

Cullen: I thought I had something in my eye.

Mage!Inquisitor: *facepalm*

First post about Cullen here, but I think, in a way, the anti- Cullen sentiment had as much to do with Cullen coming back as the love for Cullen. He is a interesting and surprisingly polarizing character in terms of how players responded to him. Bioware is going to take note of that. I wonder if they realize it?

I like Cullen, a lot, as a character with potential for growth and the story he has left to tell. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what is coming up next for our Templar.

YES. I want it so bad. Although, I'm trying to think of a way to it without making Cullen look like an idiot. I am failing.

Hey, welcome to the thread :) I have trouble understanding why he's so polarizing, seeing as how he's a very reasonable character, as well as a very nuanced one. I don't have opinions about the mage/templar situation because to me it's a game and a story, and I'm more interested in playing in that world and creating different characters with different feelings, thoughts, and opinions. Though as a whole, I'm against treating people like second class citizens because they were born differently.

Varric: Trust me, he was like this with Hawke. I used to wonder how three people could walk into the Gallows with staffs strapped to their backs and not be immediately pegged as Mages.

Cullen: They were very well disguised! And many people use walking sticks!

Varric: Anders wore robes... that's kind of a giant clue there.

Cullen: Men sometimes wear them... or even dresses... it might have been a lifestyle choice!

Varric: Y'know, I think that crackpot at the Hanged Man was right, Kirkwall had WAY too much lyrium in the water...

I even went and performed some blood magic in gallows with my Hawke and none commented anything.. I was little disapointed XD

Oh well maybe templars though Hawke cut himself by accident and blood just started floating because of the wind..

VARRIC: Look, Curly, I need you to sit down.
CULLEN: Why?
VARRIC: I have some... information, that you might find distressing.
CULLEN: [SIGHS] [SITS] Fine. What is it that you need to tell me?
VARRIC: It's about the Inquisitor...
CULLEN: [SITS UP STRAIGHTER] What about?
VARRIC: It's... I don't think you've noticed.
CULLEN: Noticed what? Explain!
VARRIC: [INHALES] The Inquisitor...
CULLEN: [FROZEN]
VARRIC: ...Is a mage.
CULLEN: [BLINKS] [PRESSES HAND OVER EYES] I hate you.
VARRIC: Thought I'd give you a head's up. You know. Before you stick your foot in your mouth again.
CULLEN: Maker spit on you. Get out of my office.
VARRIC: I'm just saving you from months of wondering, 'Why does the Inquisitor have that staff?' and, 'Why is the Inquisitor wearing that terrible hat?'
CULLEN: OUT.

Quite a few people think it might be the interactive party banter, because DG said they were having a little trouble getting to work right. Which is sad if true, but hardly something to panic over.

The challenging part is that David wasn't referencing anything.  He was simply pointing out that if content was going to be cut, whether or not it had been revealed content wouldn't be much of a factor.

But then some conclusions were made and it was being spread as information and then the speculation led to conclusions and then there were speculations about what this might mean for other stuff (i.e. Cullen).

It's a bit of a lesson for me to probably not sass much anymore (certainly not in that thread, and probably not on twitter), because I don't want people seeing some of that stuff and getting excited about things that could only lead to huge disappointment.

Ugh, I agree.  In official capacity, fine, but once we make friendships and relationships, I hope we have some sort of name other than our title.  That is one of the things I liked most about DA2.  I loved the name "Hawke."

Varric: "So Curly... "Mages aren't people like you or [him/her/Inquisitor]", hmm?"
Cullen: "Maker Varric, please don't bring that up. It was an honest mistake."
Varric: "Oh, I was just wondering, 'cause, you know... you wouldn't be the first Templar to have been Lyrium-addled."

The fact that you guys have to curb your own fun to prevent us from going into a tizzy is really to most unfortunate part of this, I think. When you guys are joking around and having fun with us, that's when the forums really feels at its best.
