No kidding. I hadn't even thought about that. :P

Exactly. My canon playthrough also has dead Architect. I just assumed Nate's response about that, even though he recognizes that the Architect was killed, was maybe not flagged properly.

Man, it would be just like a Dragon Age game for me to have to kill Nathaniel to stop the Red Templars. :(

I hope that's not the case, because that would mean the Wardens knew about the red lyrium before Meredith went apesh!t, and well. What a potential mess haha.

I'm so excited. :)

Yeah, I also hope we're never pitted against Nate... but we do know that we'll be fighting Wardens at some point in DA:I. It'll be curious to find out why... and why they seemed to have Behemoths fighting on their side.

Yeah, I can see that. It's the erm, mass extinction of mankind part I had a problem with. :P

Yep, however I think he had changed his goals little in the DA:A though. Also it's not like other races are trying to make darkspawn extinct as well ^^; He is just only one trying to find some kind of peaceful solution, he isn't there yet and his methods are questionable but I like his efforts in that way :)

Fantastic! The Devotion demon was a cool idea and I also like the way you've written Jace and Dorian's relationship thus far. Looking forward to it.

True, his thinking had evolved a little. TBH, I remember so little of Awakenings now, what I really remember was reading the Calling much later and going... "oh sh!t, maybe I shouldn't have spared him!" LOL

Thanks! I wanted to twist the concept of a love "spirit", and thought of a demon who wanted nothing but selfish love and devotion for itself.

Hey, are these spoilers? I want to read it when I'm done with work! ^_^

Yeah. I'm afraid about Nate. He's a "good" Grey Warden. (I mean good at being a Grey Warden-Willing to do whatever's necessary, etc) and if he's in any sort of leadership position (and he *should* be, especially if our wardens are missing/gone), I could see him standing against the Inquisition in some ways, for the greater good, etc. Or worse, if the red lyrium...dammit, No.

Booo. *thumbs down* Even my own speculation is driving me nuts haha :D

Actually Allan told me they might still do it. It just wouldn't be day 1 DLC, and it would have to come with a significant amount of content. Like MOTA.

I have not read The Calling. The Architect gives me the creeps so I killed him off.

I did, but not until after I played Awakening. What my warden learned prior to meeting the Architect is: the only good darkspawn is a dead darkspawn... and killed him every time.  :D

Any species that can only reproduce by snatching women and turning them into Broodmothers is an issue. My warden felt no guilt about killing darkspawn after seeing the remnants of Laryn in the deep roads, because she knew that in another life it could have been her in that cave. My inquisitor is going to have a similar practicality- if it corrupts, kills (I'm looking at you Red Templars) there will be no mercy even for the more lucid proponents. I'm hoping that she'll align nicely with Cullen's views in that respect, otherwise they might have a few fallings out.

I have my fingers crossed, and my toes, but I'm not sure how long that will last, it's making my typing rather difficult

What if these mysterious Warden allies are the Red Templars?

Also, it has to be asked, do we know that all those plot flags fire properly in terms of dead architect or not? I never get Nate's quest because it thinks he died in my actually-fully-upgraded-so-no-one-dies Keep.

Same here. I got Awakening epilogues where Nathaniel brought new respect for his family name, and his sister's kid got some lands (no idea why they went to Kirkwall then, maybe they were visiting Nate's foster father?), but then I checked the flags via console, and everyone was dead, including Anders, lol. I fixed them, but the quest glitched anyway, I had to teleport there to see Nate

Or, perhaps they don't need to masquerade at all. Maybe the Wardens just think they're collaborating with some not-really-evil, totally-not-insane templars at first?  That would be consistent with Nate's "It's ... complicated. Let's just say we live in strange times." comment.

edit: Actually, the more I think about it... this could be something! The templars approach the Wardens about something of cool and scholarly value in the Deep Roads, since Wardens are Deep Roads experts...? Hey, we found all this red lyrium, let's all go look for it together! Yay, woo hoo, friends, pay no attention to those red crystals growing out of my skin...

I don't think Nate was talking about RT, because they don't seem to be the Deep Roads experts. He was talking about somebody who knows the Deep Roads well. I thought about the Legion of the Dead, but he says they are not drwarves?

I think Nate met these guys (gif):

This is the main reason why I never believed that awakening the darkspawn was a good idea. They are not an autonomous life form, and what they do to women they kidnap has no excuse. It's like trying to be friends with a human-sized virus of polio or ebola, and letting these viruses force your women to eat your men. But be friends.

I think it's kind of obvious, because we don't see red lyrium growing on him, and I doubt we would have let a crazy person lead our armies  B) Or romance us.

Awakened darkspawn hasn't been the one's kidnapping them, they have been doing it under hypnose. Of cource it's likely that some of them would do this even awakened, however darkspawn don't seem to age and can't have sex so there isn't as much need to reproduce in my opinion. I just see darkspawn as one of humanoid races in Thedas, where they just carry lethal illness to other species and most of them are hypnotized ^^;  Still, they are capable of having emotions and making their own choices which makes them seem like humanoid race to me and therefore they should be given change to live.

Well just my view and this is reason why I support the Architect as well :)
