Oh wow.  I did not realize I'd be excited as I am about finally getting some idea of what to expect from Cole.  Unwavering ally, huh?  He still makes me uneasy, truth be told....

I'm a bit intimidated by it this game gives me hat envy

 

My inquisitor is definitely looking after poor Cole. He looks like he needs someone to take care of him, and being a tortured spirit is a much better excuse than being a helpless damsel I wonder what Cullen will think of him, though, or the Iron Bull with his demon phobia- I wonder if they can even see him? That could make for some interesting scenes

Aww, Cole's all Neutral Good sounding! I was kind of expecting him to come off Chaotic Neutral or something (although of course he still may turn out to be secretly evil inside or whatever). This makes me like him more (not that I disliked him before, but I was kind of neutral on him).

Scroll, I don't think they'll let the GE video slip through the cracks, especially now that it looks like they might do one for everyone. (On the other hand, whether any that haven't yet been filmed might slip through the cracks in the end is another question.)

Is having a bad plan worthy of death? If the Architect is an ally, the Warden could probably speak to him about the merits of the plan later on and try to work it out verbally.

 

Also, IIRC, darkspawn don't biologically have to eat--the taint sustains them. Darkspawn reproduction isn't necessarily a problem as long as the current broodmothers are preserved, and if the song of the Old Gods can somehow be stopped altogether, the violation issue would fade as well. Finally, if darkspawn don't have souls, it's objectively worse to kill awakened darkspawn than to kill humans--while human souls might have some kind of afterlife, darkspawn would be wholly obliterated when killed.

 

This is quite much how I see situation as well. Architect doesn't know much of other races but I think he and his plans have improved from The Calling to DA:A. I think darkspawn should be cut of from the mass hypnose that is slavering them and they should be able to decide what they want to do then individually like people of other races. The one's who go to violent path can be slain on war which happens in Thedas anyways a lot, the one's who aren't can be allied with. There might be some kind of solution to co-existence, Architect's plan isn't one but he might came up with better one. If not I'd love to be able to convince darkspawn to isolate themselves and live on like that in deep roads and remote lands.

My main canon Quizzy will definitely have a Grunt/Shepard relationship going on with Cole. If anyone dares touch Cole I will kick their ass I imagine my main quizzy braiding his hair

I thought I'd lost Grunt when I chose to save the Rachni in ME3 and I was all tearful and then he fought his way out and was saved!!! I was stupidly proud and relieved

My sense is that the hair is *supposed* be awful, tho. I mean... look at it. Yup. Ghastly.

I'm thinking it's meant to look sort of lank, to show how ghostly and forgettable, and not-very-well he is. Or so I hope

 

EDIT: Alternatively it's meant as an extra deterrent to the people who are still adamant they want to romance him

Solas and Dorian still have yet to have an official website reveal. As much as I really want some advisor info, I think they will come first- and I do want to know more about them too

It does look like he has a crease in his hair where his hat goes. Maybe he'll wear it most of the time and that little bit of scraggly bang sticking out will look cool instead of "it's 2003 again and you're my teenaged brother whose hair I desperately want to cut and un-highlight"!! XD

Poor Cole looks like he's going to appear on the next episode of Intervention.
