Ahhhh! Cole sounds awesome! Also in agreement that it'd make some really awkwardly hilarious situations if only the Inquisitor is able to remember seeing him consistently. There really is no rhyme or reason to these updates, is there? That's OK Bioware, keep throwing them at us!

Cole is a character of Asunder, right ? Never read the book. I'm not in love of what I see for the moment. I suppose I'll have to meet him IG to learn to appreciate him.

 

Yes he's one of main characters in Asunder, quite intresting character and I'm not sure if we still know what he truly is ^^; Well DAI's site says spirit right now but what spirit (mercy has been speculated most), is he corrupted or has he turn into demon.. there is much questions still about his character

I never thought I'd be excited for Cole to be revealed, but I screamed as quietly as I could so my coworkers wouldn't stare. XD Having him around should be interesting!

 

His eyes look so tired and haunted. It's disturbing and sad all at the same time.

I kind of assumed that at that "self realization" part, he returned to the Fade. Which makes me wonder (because apparently wild speculation is my thing today. ) if he's not responsible for tossing us back *out* of the Fade after big explosion sucks us into it.

I have actually contemplated that as well, that Cole was somehow responsible for our surviving the blast and getting back out of the Fade.  It actually makes some kind of weird sense to me.

Yes, he's from Asunder... and I think your mileage may vary. FWIW, that description sounds about identical to what he was in the book, so I doubt you'll miss out on much from not reading it. A lot of the book was discovering just what's in that blurb. What else there is to know, you'll probably be told when you meet him.

Perhaps. I think both Solas and Dorian will be heavily interested in Cole, and would be on good terms with him.

I guess I have to search for a summary of Cole in Asunder (the book is not translated and I just can't read an entire book in English).

He's had a bit of an underwhelming announcement, which is a shame.  Slip him in when no one is looking....wonder if they will slip him out again as quietly and claim not to know what we're talking about lol

I agree; if Cole is the only thing from Asunder that makes it into the game then I'd say you don't really need to read the book. I, for one, am happy that I did because it made me love his character, but like R2 says, YMMV. I tend to gravitate towards cute teenage characters. Well, not that Cole is physically cute, and well, he does murder people, so... yeah
