Yep but there has been people. The thing is that everyone didn't realise from books that he has child-like mentality, most though he's young adult. There is two times when age is mentioned according Cole in Asunder, one time Rhys says he look like around 20 years old so he looks like this at least physically and other time when he's fade they encounter Cole who is 12. However since it's fade and it takes shape after memories, I didn't catch there that he was stuck in level of 12 years old mentally. Also if you think him as 20 years old like Rhys said his appearance is he would be good candinate to younger players (like me, I'm 21 lol) when other LI's probaply are over 30. Gaider has confirmed that he isn't 20 mentally so that's end of the wish he would be LI ^^;

For the most part, I'm just against people saying that other LIs are inherently "lesser" somehow. Some who've romanced Merrill, for instance have been outright called pedophiles. I'm not down with this sort of thing.

Personally I would find it hard to romance him cause he seems too old for me. I could do older looking woman though and play like I'm older as well but I'm not personally intrested on him, he's way too old for me.

Most things are very YMMV, but hopefully even the people that are pining for a Cole romance are *actually* pining for a version of Cole that's adult and humanoid and not a-sexual and interested in / mature enough for a romantic relationship (and that Cole doesn't exist, like, by a long shot).
I hope those fans get a romance that they're really excited about in the end, but it's not like Cullen or Anders where it's just "Oooh, edgy, there's something pretty polarizing about this character's values and life choices and circumstance."
Cole probably deserves love, but not the sexy kind. And he's not an LI, so he can't be considered a lesser choice. The writers simply opted out for their own solid reasons.

Cole's a demon and seemed to completely ditch his human shell by the end of Asunder, so it never seemed at all impossible to me that he not be childlike. I suppose that's not the case if it's been confirmed otherwise, I just... have that one thing as an issue.

Let me apologize on behalf of my threadmates if we've insulted anyone either way. When we disagree with someone's romance, we shouldn't take it up as some cause and spend pages talking about it. In the same respect, we also probably shouldn't spend pages going on and on in approval of a romance that isn't related to the name of this thread, but I digress. My name didn't come up in that discussion because of my own passionate views. I wish I could say the same for my friends here.
That said, please know that if you've come here with the intention to be ugly and/or attack us, you won't come out the bigger person. I thank you for bringing your feelings to our attention, though, as I think some of us may have been really insensitive.

Don't worry. It IS a thing for people to come in here and try to start trouble. But we generally know better than to respond. So if we could just take a deep breath...
I think sometimes it's hard via text to tell the difference between people who are being judgy, and people who just have their own very strong opinions (that don't intersect with, but don't have to lead to a confrontation with anyone else, either).
Things like romancing someone who might be a demon and might be a corpse are naturally going to have some very strong "squick" responses from people. It's going to be par for the course if you're a Cole fan. As long as nobody's being attacked personally, things should be right as rain.
That said, I definitely agree that things ought to be civil and non-Cullen discussions don't need to go on for pages and pages. Thank you for reminding us. 
OT question, is there somewhere I can watch the warrior dwarf demo from E3. Last time I was around I heard it got taken down
