Merrill wasn't a demon....
Don't care. Still want the option to shout down companions when they p!ss me off.

ALSO,
WHAT THE F*CK , SERA!??!
I'M PRETTY SURE CULLEN IS GOING TO BE WITH SERA ON THE 'NOT TALKING TO HIM EVER' KIND OF THING.
INQUISITOR: Look, can't just... smile at him? Once?
CULLEN: [THROUGH GRITTED TEETH] Inquisitor, I do not object to it's--
INQUISITOR: His.
CULLEN: --His being here out of respect for you command, but you cannot ask this of me. You do not know--
INQUISITOR: [COOLLY] You forget I was in the Fade, Ser Cullen. I know.
CULLEN: [MOUTH THINS] Do not ask me to be friends, Inquisitor. I trust your judgement, but I will not ignore my own. Never again.
INQUISITOR: Fine. But. Be polite. He likes being called him, not it.
CULLEN: I shall... keep that in mind. Good day.
So, we have Solas and Dorian left? Maybe we will even see them both this week.
Ohhh, Cole sounds like such a sweetheart. It's gonna hurt to see Viv and Sera treating him badly, if they remember him at all that is.
Leaving turnips in the fireplace?! I love it c___c he's going to be a great character I think.
How they heck am I suppose to pick a party of only 3 other people?
As long as he stays on the straight and narrow, I'm totally fine with Cole.
I'm afraid I agree with her. I don't trust him at all. He's from the Fade.
Or is he? ![]()

Oh, good grief. One bad word comes from Cullen, he's getting a fireball to the face.

I think it would be the other way around. I mean, Cole is pretty f-ing scary looking. Plus Cullen hasn't had the best demon experiences :3. OHHHHHHH maybe since Cole senses pain he'll help Cullen with his lyrium issues! Headcanon accepted.
This is what worried me.
"Cole wants to help people who are hurting. He may not always get it right..."
This reminds me of what I speculated we'll see from spirits in DAI back before the forum switchover. I thought we'd see a supposedly benevolent spirit doing something that only makes the situation worse. Like strengthening the resolve of a templar zealot or totally numbing the pain (and everything else) of someone in mourning. I think Cole will mess up. Badly. And I'm honestly not prepared to let that happen.
Well, I see it at as our job to help him stay on the good path. Quite frankly, I'd rather him on our side and under our watch than being loose within the world.

I want trickster Cole in my party, hopefully he's not all good deeds and helping
by Kelgrid from Tumblr
If filling the fireplace with turnips is his idea of helping, then I think he'll end up being a trickster whether he means to or not ![]()

I really want them to get along, like Cole and Evangeline did. But she saw where he came from, and she felt like her organisation was responsible for what happened to him. Cullen will probably never know that story
And he may not get any parental feels towards this guy.
Right now Cole is the first on the list of possible candidates for the marriage proposal blood sacrifice in the end, like Loghain and Anders in the previous games. Bull is the second.

Oh, angry Cullen. This game will definitely be interesting. I like the idea of letting Cole help the Inquisition, but I don't know how my little Dalish will feel about it. Depends entirely on how we meet him, I would guess.
Also [MOUTH THINS] - I wonder if we'll see a lot of that? ![]()
Can't believe Biobastard is stringing us along on whether Cullen will be a companion or not.
The past two games were filled with apostate mages as some of our companions. All I've been asking for since Origins is one templar companion in response (Alistair doesn't count, he only has the skills, he never dedicated himself to the order). Also, with Cullen, that means I can have a complete party of warrior badasses (Iron Bull, Blackwall and Cullen). Cassandra? Yeah, she is pretty badass too but not as much as Cullen, he's seem some ****. (That should be the tagline for his character profile BTW)
Agree. Don't really see him being keen on a demon murderer.I'M PRETTY SURE CULLEN IS GOING TO BE WITH SERA ON THE 'NOT TALKING TO HIM EVER' KIND OF THING.

Seriously. I'll be really surprised if he's okay with adopting a resident demon. I'm a little uncomfortable with it myself, since Cole's idea of "helping" people has so far involved stabbing them to death. Still, the boy has mad skills, and I may need him on my side. So....idk. This is going to be interesting, to say the least. ![]()
[PW]: Beyond his skill in combat, though… Cole wants to help people who are hurting. He may not always get it right, but he never stops caring. He will walk into the most painful moment of someone's life and offer them comfort without hesitation or judgment. And then he will disappear from their mind and walk away, because it's not about getting thanked, or even remembered. It's about helping.
MY HEART!!!!!
Today marked the first time I've gotten teary-eyed over a freaking interview.
Weekes, you devil you. You bring out the cry in me.
I'm amused that Sera wont even talk to him. lol.
Ya'll realize we're all royally f*cked if Gaider wrote Cullen.
Edited because apparently that word isn't bad on the bsn. lolol.
F'ed in the sense that here will be much well-written agony. DaGaider brings on the angst. But Chee said she's been swiping fan art and fics and stuff for his writer, and I dunno. DaGaider doesn't seem like the kind to eat that stuff up, does he?

I hope they get along in the end but I don't know likely it is. It's hard to know if many character will like him, I think most will be very wary. However I hope there isn't anyone bullying him like Fenris and Anders, if someone will I hope there is option to tell them shut up, if there isn't my qunari mommas will be very angry.
But Chee said she's been swiping fan art and fics and stuff for his writer, and I dunno. DaGaider doesn't seem like the kind to eat that stuff up, does he?
His Tumblr makes it sound like he totally does. There's at least one fanart (Zevran/m!Warden, I think) that he liked so much he wrote a short fic about it. But DG visits the forums often enough himself, which makes me think either A. Cullen's writer isn't one of the ones who frequents the BSN or B. they are three steps ahead of us trying to throw us off Cullen's writer's scent (e.g. if it is actually Sheryl). EDIT: Or, C, they're for Hepler, in the Hepler/Gaider rewrite theory. DOUBLE EDIT: This paragraph makes it seem like I care way more about who wrote him than I do, but I'll be damned if I can pass on trying to solve a good, meaningless mystery.
Cole sounds wayyyy cuddlier in all this than I remember thinking he was in Asunder. I wonder if he is secretly evil and is just playing a really good long con. I also wonder why the advisors aren't coming up in these interviews at all; I hope it's because they're not announced yet and not because they don't have memorable interactions with the party members. EDIT: Given that they also haven't mentioned how anyone relates to Solas or Dorian yet, I assume it's the former.
Nah. I trust his writing completely. I mean, yeah, our emotions are SCREWED, but the story will be awesome.
