My sister is playing DA2 for the first time and her reactions to everything are so funny. She's romancing Anders and she says Cullen is the only templar she likes. She was doing that Gamlen quest and she got ambushed she was like "WHY DID THEY SEND SO MANY PEOPLE HOW STRONG DO THEY THINK GAMLEN IS???"
Maybe he's better with a wallop mallet than we thought.
Can't believe Biobastard is stringing us along on whether Cullen will be a companion or not.
The past two games were filled with apostate mages as some of our companions. All I've been asking for since Origins is one templar companion in response (Alistair doesn't count, he only has the skills, he never dedicated himself to the order). Also, with Cullen, that means I can have a complete party of warrior badasses (Iron Bull, Blackwall and Cullen). Cassandra? Yeah, she is pretty badass too but not as much as Cullen, he's seem some ****. (That should be the tagline for his character profile BTW)

I agree.He wrote to Alistair, Morrigan, Shale, Nathaniel, Fenris, Zevran, ... Many of my favorite characters.

Templar companion would be cool and give another viewpoint but I think we have to settle with seeker this time : / Cullen doesn't seem to be companion. Maybe he will be temporary one though since in trailer he was outside of keep.

Just think, Alistair played DAI for several hours, and the one thing, the one thing, that stood out most to him in the game during that time frame was: not the environment, not the Inquisitor's character, not the fighting style/the dragons, not the plot itself, not even any of the actual companions, but, how much of a BAMF Cullen is. Think about that for a sec....Has to say something about his character/inclusion doesn't it?

I love the textures of his outfit, but his proportions are pretty terrible. The distance between his eyes and the crown of his head is way, way too much.
His Tumblr makes it sound like he totally does. There's at least one fanart (Zevran/m!Warden, I think) that he liked so much he wrote a short fic about it. But DG visits the forums often enough himself, which makes me think either A. Cullen's writer isn't one of the ones who frequents the BSN or B. they are three steps ahead of us trying to throw us off Cullen's writer's scent (e.g. if it is actually Sheryl). EDIT: Or, C, they're for Hepler, in the Hepler/Gaider rewrite theory. DOUBLE EDIT: This paragraph makes it seem like I care way more about who wrote him than I do, but I'll be damned if I can pass on trying to solve a good, meaningless mystery.
Cole sounds wayyyy cuddlier in all this than I remember thinking he was in Asunder. I wonder if he is secretly evil and is just playing a really good long con. I also wonder why the advisors aren't coming up in these interviews at all; I hope it's because they're not announced yet and not because they don't have memorable interactions with the party members. EDIT: Given that they also haven't mentioned how anyone relates to Solas or Dorian yet, I assume it's the former.
I know. I think I'm less concerned with who his writer is than I probably should be, but I also do love a good mystery.
And if was Hepler/ANYONE (or, hell, just her), I'll be the one you hear professing love from a mountain top. I WILL ROMANCE NONE OTHER.

As badly as I wanted to haul him around with me, I try to remember that the important thing is that I'll be interacting with him. That's really the thing I wanted the most, and I still can hardly believe that I'll be allowed to have actual conversations with the man wherein he'll presumably let his guard down and tell me what he really thinks. I still get giddy over it every time I think about it!

I was interested to see a thread in Scuttlebutt or Feedback or something where someone complained about that diamond pattern being overused, and Gaider said it's their placeholder for when they're still finishing an outfit texture!
I'm still curious on his opinion of him before we recruit him. If we have Sera and Vivienne in our party with IB when we meet Cole, will they all agree on killing it with fire? Or will IB still want him recruited? Is it only when he's actually on the team that he decides to try and get along with him?
I think that's an example of the complicated relationships that developers have spoken. 
And as we all know from the Meredith fight, Cullen is invulnerable to damage! Talk about being over-powered!

I want to see Bull bringing in the prostitutes for Cole And shoving them into the wrong room (because he's drunk). For example, Cullen's or Cassandra's.
Okay, here's the thing: I fully believe Cole was - is - a demon of some sort. A demon of Sorrow or something akin to it.
HOWEVER, if Justice can become a demon, then a demon can become a spirit. I fully believe Cole is trying to be good, thus changing his nature. I am still wary of him, but if he is trying then I am willing to give him that chance. *nod nod*
As for David Gaider possibly writing Cullen...I fully approve if he is. He wrote Zevran, my all time favorite character in Dragon Age. Mr. Gaider may enjoy fan tears, but he also writes amazing characters and amazing romances.

I think it would be the other way around. I mean, Cole is pretty f-ing scary looking. Plus Cullen hasn't had the best demon experiences :3. OHHHHHHH maybe since Cole senses pain he'll help Cullen with his lyrium issues! Headcanon accepted.
That would be fascinating if Cullen should warm up to him. I don't see them getting along at first - well, Cole may approve of Cullen saving people in the Inquisition, but Cullen most definitely won't approve of Cole.

You know, even though I don't trust him at all, and probably won't recruit him until my third Inquisitor, and I'm not convinced or all that moved or endeared by this goody goody two shoes 'Help the world!' thing, I do quite like Cole regardless. If the situation were different, he'd get on quite well with most of my Inquisitors I think.
