To be fair, Merril does tell Hawke the eluvian killed Tamlen, or at the very least led to his disappearance.

True, however, hearing a magic item backfired and seeing what it did to Tamlen are vastly different things.

The thing about HoDA is that they don't care about canon or any of that. You can have Duncan and Cailan, and Makerdamned Reanimated Leandra for Andraste's sake.

 

Meredith being there is in no way indicative of her being anything other than a steaming statue.

I don't think so, no. The Red Lyrium Meredith unit is just meant to be Meredith from the DA2 final boss fight, as far as I can tell. (The extra "fancy" appearance here would be because they're showing the unit at tier 4.)

 

Edit: Wish they'd add a Cullen unit!

TBH, one thing I love about this is how he looks straight at us. Like... "who in the Void is watching me?" LOL

You know what I love most about this? (Because, let's be honest, I've watched this trailer far more than is probably healthy haha)

When he puts his foot up there on that ledge, it looks like he's actually trying to situate it.  

I mean, it looks like a dude in a lion mask sticking his foot on a ledge, rather than a 3D model executing some animations. 

 

I like that he looks right at us, also. It's...intriguing. *cough*

Can an Andrastian go into the Chantry and light a candle in remembrance, kind of like Catholics do in RL? I mean, I'm probably gonna write this thing however I need to, but I'd like to know one way or another if there *is* a precedent.

I thought Sebastian said something about doing this for Leandra, but apparently he just says he'll "put a remembrance for her on the Chantry wall". Plenty of people definitely have someone do that [edit: i.e. light candles] in fanfic, though.

After the Cole reveal, i think he instantly became the companion I'm the most interested in right now. I guess it was originally Solas since all I've seen is that picture of him from that german magazine : S I hope he's next although Dorian would be cool too. I still haven't heard his voice clearly

Also, given the centrality of flame to the Andrastian canon, it seems pretty likely, too. Every Chantry has its eternal flame. The flaming sword of Mercy. etc.

You know, I had some candle lighting in Fool's Errand... and apparently didn't give it a second a thoughr. LOL So I guess *I* think it seems pretty natural, too.

Or maybe party banter generally doesn't occur in the open countryside and is limited to settlements and areas you can't enter while mounted. You know, sort of like how it worked in DAO?

Ah, this is what I was figuring, based on the close camera angle when we were mounted during the demo. It seemed pretty easy to imagine they were, you know, back there, somewhere, until  you dismount.
